27 Departure

With a light step that didn't feel like gravity, Nacht was walking alone on the outer wall.
From the top of the outer wall, which looked to be seven to eight meters high, Nacht threw himself into the air without hesitation. To the soldiers standing guard, that would have been as good as jumping to their deaths.
But there was no way that common sense would apply to Nacht.
The night-colored wings spreading from his back lifted Nacht into the sky.
With the sunshine at his back, Nacht accelerated in a straight line. The scene flowed and switched like film from a camera filming different landscapes.
In a few seconds, they were separated from each other until the trading city on their backs appeared small. The reason for this is because Nacht missed the girl who was always next to him. For just a moment, Nacht turned his attention to the trading city and quickly turned his head forward.

The Jorno Forest existed to the southeast of the trading city. The road leading to it was a grassy meadow.
To the southeast of the Keparnia grasslands is a road leading to Jorno Forest, and to the southwest is a road leading to the neighboring country of Estor. Along the road were a number of villages that had been developed as granaries.
However, there was no sign of people there. The adventurer's guild and knights were probably in the center of the adventurer's guild and knights, and they had been advised to take shelter. Surrounded by silence, Nacht takes flight.

He flew through the sky for a while and looked down below from far above.
Directly below Nacht was the camp that the advance party had built. By noon, this was where the main force would gather.
And beyond that, an army of demons was present.

The demons like grains of rice were accurately reflected in Nacht's dragon eyes. The number of armies standing with their backs to the Yorno Forest could be said to be roughly two thousand to three thousand.
From the perspective of the adventurers in the trading city, this was a strange and extremely puzzling situation.
Low-ranking demons such as goblins and orcs were not acting on instinct, but instead gathered sparsely like an army and aligned. When a demon becomes an army, it's led by the head of its race after an explosion of breeding. In the past, due to the breeding and evolution of the Pig Demon Race (Orcs), there have been examples of armies as large as two thousand, but they were all armies of the Pig Demon Race (Orcs). It was never a mixed army like it is now.
The hundred or so lower demon clans appear to be led by mid-level demon clans such as trolls and liches. And furthermore, they were led by demons (ogres) who had become demons. There was a sense of human-like intelligence in it.

Nacht had reached the skies above the enemy forces.
In the face of three thousand noisy, hostile troops, Nacht's composure still did not waver in the slightest.
The sound of footsteps, the metallic clatter of armor and weapons, the screams of demons, and the clear volume of material would undoubtedly frighten any normal human being.
But to Nacht, it was only a bit of May noise.
Nacht just flew effortlessly through the air and over their heads.

But - there was someone who did not approve of it.
A single demon in a position to lead an army of demons - a demon that eats human flesh. A diabolical demon, badly known for its high intelligence and fluency in speech in the process. The special A-class designated demon called the Man-Eater was the head of this army of thousands.
Its three-meter-long physique was covered with toned muscles. It had white hair that covered its entire face and two horns that had become powerful after becoming a demon. It has a wide open mouth full of sharp, flesh-eating fangs, many, many, many of them. The amount of inherent magic power in it makes it exceptional, no doubt.
When the Man-Eater saw Nacht flying above, he ordered the two flying dragons (wyverns).

''Eat me, you miscreant!
 And.
A moment later, two accelerated flying dragons turned their fangs towards Nahat, as if to say that the sky above is a garden.
Their bodies easily exceed five meters in height. I'm sure the little girl will be devoured by their wide open jaws.

"You have the nerve to block my path with your dragon's failed appearance--which--
Nacht pointed his right hand at the flying dragon (wyvern).
 And a word.

 --Sit--.

Nacht told him to do so, as if commanding an unheard dog (pet).
 With a certain compulsion.

Gravity magic (Gravity Magic) - gravity field generation (Create Gravity).

The gravitational field with absolute compulsion that appeared in front of Nacht, swallowed two flying dragons (wyverns) without mercy.
 Gakun,.
The flying dragons, which should have been flapping their wings in the sky, were dragged by an invisible force, forcing them to accelerate rapidly and unwantedly.
Unable to even resist, the two giant bodies that fell vertically were plunging deep into the ground, engulfing the demons that were directly below them. Seeing the two flying dragons hanging their heads in that half-small crater, Nacht nodded in satisfaction.

''Is it unnecessary meddling to take away any more prey--''
After all, they had taken the sword of their own accord.
In front of Nacht, who was walking away leisurely, the demon race just muttered.

''What the hell was that--!
There is no one to answer that question.

Are you sure that was a good idea?
Krista called out to Aisha as she stared up at the southern sky.
Those eyes were not those of a young girl.
They were eyes that held a strong will in the midst of the conflict.
That's why Krista didn't ask too strongly.

''Yes, even if I'm by Nacht-sama's side, I'm sure I'll remain useless--I want to continue to be strong in order to be by that person's side.
If you say anything like that to Nacht.

''Ha, Aisha, you just need to slow down and get stronger at your own pace.''
I think I would answer that.
But Aisha didn't like it herself.
Because of the repeated excuses such as "take it slow" and "my pace", she was unable to do anything and lost her father and almost lost her own life.
I don't want to take someone else's word for it anymore.

 Aisha is Nacht's squire.
But she doesn't think she is worth it.
Now Aisha is just a child.
She's just a child who has changed the person she spoils.
So, Aisha wanted to at least have the qualifications and power to be worthy of serving beside that person.

It's not just a matter of time before you're ready to go.

It's a good thing, then, that as a reward, I'll kneel down and pat the most successful one on the head!
Such words, Aisha thought, were unacceptable.
An ugly, little jealousy lit a fire of resolve in Aisha.
The idea of letting someone, much less a vile man, touch the body of the Lord was not something she could bear.
 It was only an illusion.
It's just an illusion that the Lord's side was taken.
But even so - as Nacht's follower, I couldn't compromise that much.

Aisha's body was filled with magic power.
It was so enormous that even Krista was pressurized - it was like a vortex with no bottom in sight.

(No way - Lord Nacht entrusted me with Aisha, but I may not be needed.)
Such thoughts went through Krista's head and she instantly shook her head.
Assumptions and actual battles are very different.
When the time came, even if she used this body as a shield, Krista was going to protect Aisha.
That's because that's the way to fulfill Krista's responsibility for asking for help.

Aisha and Krista's party finished their preparations, and when I thought it was time to go into battle, there was a woman who bowed to Krista.

''Krista-sama--''

Yeah. You're doing well, Lana. And Emma.
Krista's party, Sasha and the others, were adjusting their weapons in a small workshop (studio). It's a good idea to have a good idea of what to expect when you're in a position to do something about it.

"Ku-ii-su-ta-ma--
Emma bowed her head peckishly, along with a voice that was very lispy and vague in its pronunciation. Little by little, the little girl was getting her words back, little by little.

'It's been a while, Aisha,'
It was a different, cheery smile than before.
Aisha felt a serene femininity that made her almost fall in love with it.

'Ha, yes. It's been a while, Rana, Emma.''
'Yes,' Aisha said, and they smiled happily at each other.

'I see you two have been working here,'
 Aisha said, surprised.
It was an unexpected reunion for her as well.

'They're a prior return group - Rana had a merchant husband, so she's reasonably well educated. She seemed to have a certain amount of business acumen in reading, writing, and calculating, too, and I've got her working in a shop I know. The father of the dwarves here was a skilled dwarf, but he relied more on his late wife to run the shop. The fact that his son is also independent and owns the shop is just right for him to work - his father is a bit stubborn too, but he's a good man with a lot of compassion.
Aisha nodded in agreement, only to be convinced.

'Mr. Barbos has been a great help to me.
 Rana had said the same.
From Aisha's point of view, the girls seemed to be living their days happily.

'So it's finally,'
The looming anomaly in the trading city had been communicated to the citizens to some extent.
Most of all, it was supposed to be just a demonic mayhem, but Lana had a thought as she watched Krista and the others carefully prepare their weapons.

'Ah.'
Krista tells her that seriously too.
In the midst of all this, Emma said with concern.

''Lai, jou, bu?''
It was a voice filled with fear, and yet full of compassion.
With a trembling throat, Emma squeezed out the best words she could.
It's a good thing that you're able to do that.

''It's okay, sir! After all, even now, Nacht-sama is fighting for us!
 It was the earliest certainty.
Aisha assured him with such a willingness to not even allow himself to doubt.

'Nah, ha, and shama!
Emma, too, smiles as she remembers the mysterious person who rescued her from herself.

'Yes, so you don't have anything to worry about!

Aisha walked away from the life that Nacht rescued, somewhat refreshed by the life that Nacht had saved.

"Ho, someone has seen through your magic.
Rinoa says, with a table and chairs made of worked wood by the forest and a teacup in hand.

'Yes, and - the cannibal demon (man-eater), Uno informed me that I missed it.
Rinoa, after deep thought, looks at the cherry blossoms and tells her.

'A reminder is a reminder, huh?'
The teacup was placed on the plate with a clunk.

'Sakura, as always you should be gone.

"As you wish...

"Now, I don't know what kind of a man you are, but I don't want anyone to get in our way--
