90 Interview: Each ideal

 The sky was clear.
It was curiously clear, without even a speck of shade. So the sky was not real.

There were no clouds at all, and countless stars, which made me feel like an idiot for counting them, continued to illuminate the vast land like a band of light.
Starlight descended on the grasslands in all directions to dispel the darkness. To the south, I saw the deep-set earth. There were many lakes, clear to the bottom of the water. To the east, a deep forest holding mountains, and far, far to the west, a vast river flowed by.

The eternal night that never ends is illuminated by an infinite number of stars.
The entire place illuminated was the territory of the "Outer Cafeteria".
The castle in the sky from which you can see the entire landscape spreading out in all directions - the light on the outer walls of the mighty castle, which has no color at all, was lit by the twinkling of stars falling from the sky.
On the terrace of the impregnable castle known as "Castle-Free", the two women looked down at the two women.

''But Nachtchwan is so interesting - she looks cute on the outside, but she's so bossy and stubborn. A lot of people put a lot of effort into role-playing, but it's hard to find someone as obsessed with it as Nacht-chan is. Aren't you tired of it?

Long white hair that shines in the starlight. A woman dressed in an underwear-like armor that generously exposes all of her fleshly body, and a woman who spreads her bat-like, yet dragon-like powerful wings, said such things in a wild male voice.

'Ane-san isn't role-playing, is she?'

Ane-san, or Aneley, the seductive female avatar, could tell she was a man just by hearing her voice.
Aneley, who didn't try to hide it and spoke in her normal way, unlike Nacht, she had no connection to roleplaying. The wild voice that emanated from her beautiful appearance was apparently not a gap moe, even for the SS side of her reality itself.
In fact, there are several SS members who are brought to the guild after talking to her with the intention of hitting on her. They later called it a scam and a fraud, but they had it coming.

''The only thing you need to pretend to be is your appearance. I'm me and I'm not--that won't change here either.

And just as I said that - the dreamer (succubus) folded her wings and nodded.

''What another excuse - you're actually faking it, deceiving yourself and pretending you got what you wanted like this, aren't you pathetic?
Annelie said, somewhat self-mockingly. Her jewel-like eyes wavered slightly.
But Nacht shook his head widely.

''That's just how it is, isn't it, a game--you want something you can't have, you have an ideal you can't have, and that's why everyone is immersed in this game.
In this world that is too close to reality, we are in search of something that was not possible in reality.

Even among her friends, there are few people who know what's going on in reality (real) other than silly stories. But even without talking, it is not difficult to imagine how she has been treated in reality.
Like Nacht, she is the oldest gil-in who has spent time with the guild since its formation, and she has known Toru for over three years.
That's why sometimes we can whine to each other as if we were having a drink together.

In reality, when he or she had a bad day, he or she would say, as he or she was wont to say.

--I wanted to be a sister," he or she would say.

To her, an avatar of a beautiful woman is exactly what she wanted in the real world.

'Well, role-playing isn't tiring, although it's a bit of a challenge to train the boilerplate.

'Do you want to be a girl, Nacht-chan? Or maybe he wants to make you his wife?

That would be Archangel's ideal - if anything, it's the character I play that I'm more attached to.

Hey, what's on your mind?

Annelie peers at Nacht with severe interest and concern, but Nacht blatantly frowns.

''Ugh........I don't want to tell you that, it's embarrassing and......''

It's a damsel's secret and I'm not going to laugh or tell anyone about it, me.

Nacht knows that there is no such thing as falsehood in her words.
Her words have a core, even more so than Nacht's. She never speaks out of turn, and her words convey a frightening conviction.
As long as she says she won't talk about it to anyone, Toru's embarrassing self-talk is also a story between them.

Tohru didn't want to talk about it, nor had she ever spoken about it.
There were some troublesome people who could easily find out without talking about it, but it was shameful and embarrassing to say it to him, and he didn't want to be embarrassed about it.
Although I think that's true, I also think it's a little too unfair to let Mr. Annelie alone talk about his ideals time and time again, while I remain silent.
After a long, long hesitation, the beautiful girl on the screen opened her mouth leisurely.

'Say what you want to say and do what you want to do - it's easy to say it with your mouth, but if you want to do it, how hard you have to work to do it - at least I've given that up in reality. sir.

It was an embarrassing inside of him that he wouldn't talk about to anyone.
The first impression Toru gets from the people around him is that he looks serious.
Whenever he meets with his teachers at school, they always say that he is a good boy.

 That's true.
I've lived my life to the extent that I look serious, I listen to what they say, I study, and I've also lived my life to the extent that I look like a good kid.
I've crossed the world successfully, putting on a fake smile for everyone. I was tired of crossing over.
Before I knew it, I put on a mask and played someone else, not to mention strangers and friends, even in front of my family. I pretended to enjoy conversations with my friends that I didn't enjoy, rattled off college and part-time jobs to my parents who called me, smiled affectionately, and faked, faked, faked, and faked as if it were normal.

(-- the only time I really have fun is in this moment when I'm playing the game...)

And so the finished, serious, good-natured someone is created as Toru.
The smiles on each other's faces were fake, no matter how far they went.
When I think about it, in the real world, no matter who or what I do, it's terribly boring.

I don't know why I've been so honest in revealing my secret inner life now.
I realize now how much I trusted Annelie, whose face, name, and appearance I didn't know, and I realize how much I trusted her.

'I wanted to say what I wanted to say, I wanted to do what I wanted to do - I wanted to destroy my boring days, and I let Nacht do all that.

Annelie-san didn't look down on Toru's embarrassing, terribly boring and unimportant monologue, nor did she seem to ridicule him, she just relaxed her expression as she listened somewhat happily.

''So, Nacht-chan lived up to your expectations?''
It was a manner of speaking as if he knew the answer.

'Yes, as good as it gets--'

The two beautiful princesses looked down at their eyes.
They gazed happily at the other reality they had built up.

-- which was now a scene from the distant past.
