87 # 87 Open, and a rosy coffee shop.

The "Tsukuyomi" book café, which unexpectedly opened to great acclaim. Since the system itself is unusual, many people came to the cafe just to chat, but it seems that many of them ended up staying there for too long because of the comfort of the cafe.
So, after three days, they decided to create a one-day free pass course. If you pay a certain amount of money, you can come and go as you please for the whole day. The fee is a bit high, but it's considerably cheaper than the regular course where you stay all day.
We ran out of chairs and private rooms, so we also opened up the garden to allow people to read on the couches there. However, this course is all self-service, and it's just a reading course. It would be unavailable on rainy days, though.
What I didn't expect was the ratio of male to female customers. I thought there would be more men than women, but there were definitely more women. Nearly 80% of the customers are women. Perhaps the reason for this is that the books in the café are focused on stories.
It seems that men seem to need practical books, such as academic books, picture books, magic books, and swordsmanship books, and they don't seem to have much interest in stories. Even so, some men come to read knights' tales, adventurers' tales, and war stories.
After realizing that there were many women in the room, I tried to arrange the bookshelves with new items that seemed to appeal to women as much as possible. As soon as she put out the books that Linse had bought, the number of female customers increased dramatically. So many people wanted to read them that she copied a few and ended up with several copies of the same book on the shelves. I can't tell you what the book was about. At the very least, I'd like to distance myself from the men who like to read it. I'm afraid of my own safety.
Anyway, the business was very successful and we made enough money. We were able to pay the seven of them well enough to afford it, so they all left the mansion and each found their own lodgings. Rebecca and Logan had left long ago, and Will left at the same time as Wendy. Of course it was the same inn. Of course, it was the same inn, but not the same room. Moreover, Wendy was sharing a room with Sylvie. Good luck, boy.

The guild has been a long time in the past, so I'm going to go to the guild and do some real work.

I'd like to try out the newly "programmed" smarts and the non-attribute magic "Gravity". Everyone else seemed to have plans, and Yumina was the only one who was free. Since Yumina is the only one with a blue guild card rank, they want to make it red like us as soon as possible.

''Then shall we go together?''
Yes. It's a date to take down.

No, I'd like to spare you such a bleak date....
On the way to the guild with her, she held onto my arm, but it was hard to walk, so I asked her to just hold my hand. This is a bit embarrassing, though.
When we arrived at the guild, the adventurers were hanging out, bustling as usual. As we were about to head to the request board, a large man stood well in front of us. He was wearing black pants and a tiger-striped vest directly over his skin. A large double-edged axe was hung around his waist, and a jerky chain was draped around his neck as if in fashion. There wasn't a single hair on his head and a grin on his face.

'Hey, what the hell are you kids doing here with a kid? This isn't a kid's playground, okay?

You don't look familiar. A recent arrival in King's Landing? There's no way I'd forget this bad taste once I saw it.
If you look closely, you'll notice that some of the adventurers around you are also grinning. But that grin isn't directed at me. It was directed at this man in front of me.
Now what are we going to do?

"You hear me, you hear me? Geez, before you get hurt!

I shot without hesitation as that hand reached out towards Yumina. No, of course it was a paralyzing bullet, right? You'll still be in pain, though, as if you've taken a body blow. You'll be conscious, so I'll put my guild card in front of you.

''If you judge me by my appearance, you'll be in pain!

I drag that guy, who's eyes are wide open at the sight of a rank red card, and throw him out of the guild. I used "Gravity" to lighten the guy's weight, but it's handy, this. It was easy to carry.
When I came back inside the guild, the guys who were grinning earlier were laughing hysterically. I knew they were grinning in anticipation of this happening.

''You're tangled up in the 'dragon slayer', you're a ballsy guy!
Somebody tell him. Everybody shut up!
"Idiots! That's no fun, man!

It must be," everyone started laughing. You know.....
Well, this isn't the first time I've been tangled up with someone like that. In my case, maybe it's because I don't look so strong (although it's a shame to say it), but I get tangled up with that kind of people a lot. I have to beat them up every time.
Oh well. Anyway, I go to the board and look at the request posted. There are only two of us this time, and it's safer not to take down a large number of them.
I pick up one of the red request forms and pick up a request to take down.

'The Bloody Club? Are you a crab?
''It's a giant red crab beast. It has four large scissors and a very hard shell. The shell can be sold as material for armor, and the meat can be sold at a high price, right?

Hoho. That's a delicious story, only for the crabs. Let's take this for now. There's only one target to defeat, and our destination isn't that far from the mine where we defeated the Mithril Golem before, so it's easy to get there.
I peel off the request form and take it to the sister at the counter. Yumina is blue-ranked, but I'm red-ranked, so there's no problem. This is where I can't take it, though, because if another lower-ranked person comes in, the lower-ranked ones will be more numerous.

''Um........Mochizuki-san is the owner of the reading cafe 'Tsukuyomi', isn't he?''

The sister at the reception desk who accepted the request form spoke to me nervously.

''Ha, yes, but...''
Do you have a series of books from the Kingdom of Lefries called "The Order of the Roses" that you have in stock?

Her sister's cheeks were stained and she came at me excitedly. It seems that she really wants to read that book.

'Well, is that book complete?'
Yes! There should be a total of 15 volumes to complete the book!

If it's complete, I can buy it. I'd have to add a few new ones here and there to get bored. I'll buy it on the way home from the battle.

I'll stock up then. I'll try to get in line tomorrow.
'So fast! Wow! I'm looking forward to it so much! Tomorrow I have the day off from work so I can enjoy the whole day!

We walk out of the guild after being seen off by a delighted older sister who is gushingly happy. Yumina, who had been silent all along beside me, was glancing at me.

''Um...Fuyao-san. Do you know what kind of story 'The Order of the Rose' is?
No, I don't know. Do you know?
'Yes, well. It's a series of stories about the Knights of the Roses in a country, the feud between the male-only Knights of the Roses and the female-only SSR, and the love affair within the Knights of the Roses that unfolds against the backdrop of that...

...wait a minute. "In the Order"? Huh? Because in a male only order.....
Yumina, meeting my gaze, averts her eyes with a swoosh. Eh, is that what it is?

''Well I promised I'd get it, and it's not good if I don't get it...''
''Yes.... Well, I thought it would be enough for the bookstore clerk to look at me a little differently...''

Ugh. There's no way I'm going to let Yumina buy it.

''........And yet......how did you know about such a book?''
'Oh, no, um, let's just say, just so there's no misunderstanding, I don't have that kind of taste, I don't. I've never even read that kind of book, really!

Are you sure? I look at the little girl with suspicion. There's the example of Linse, and I'm sure she's equally inspired. No, I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that. Everyone has different hobbies, right? I'm not going to be the one to interfere in that.

'Well I actually know the person who wrote that piece. And that's how I knew about the work.... He's famous, so I couldn't publish under his real name, so I used a pseudonym.
What? Who? Do I know anyone else?
''No, Fuyao-san is probably a stranger. ...Don't tell anyone, okay? Lady Liliel Reem Liefries the First Princess of the Liefries Crown.

Wait, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. You mean to tell me that the princess of the land is writing a book about ... that kind of thing?

''The Liefreth Emperor Kingdom and the Belfast Kingdom have always been a royal family, a family affair.... I've known Lili-sama well for a long time. Well, it became 'that kind of hobby' before I knew it, and eventually you started to write it yourself...

Headache..... Try to stay away from Leafy's as much as possible. It would be a disaster if I accidentally ran into one and got turned into a story or a model. I mean, I had to go buy a book! Kuu.
Well, I guess it's okay, because there's no way an imperial princess is in a bookstore in town.
Anyway, with that lady at the reception desk and the customers at the coffee shop, I may have brought an unnecessary culture to this country.... I won't be remembered in history, will I?
Anyway, let's go take out the Bloody Club first. I took Yumina and transitioned at the "Gate".
