132 # 132 "Hangar" and frame gear.

Monica led me into the black building, and I was surprised by the size of it more than anything else. What the hell is going on here? Obviously, it was much larger than it looked from the outside.
As the name "hangar" implies, the inside was built like a warehouse district, with a number of large, sturdy-looking shutters lined up in a closed position on either side. But how far is it, this? I can't see the other end.

'What's going on here?
I know, right? The inside of the Hangar has spatial magic in it, and it's much larger than it looks. That doesn't mean much, though, since not all of the hangars are filled with it.

It's kind of like my "storage". I've heard time stops on Storage. I'm not going to be able to get them to stop for a while. It's a good mix of spatial and temporal magic, or space-time magic, if you want to put it that way.
I'm sure you'll be able to find something to do with this much space. I'm sure you'll be able to find it.

'Yes! Frame gear! You've got frame gear here!
Hmm? Frame gear? Yes. This way.

I excitedly followed Monica as she walked with tiny strides. When Monica reached one of the rows of hangers, she tried to push what looked like a button next to it, but she couldn't reach it in the slightest.
She tried to get close enough to push it instead.

You son of a b*tc*!

Monica buzzed the button as hard as she could with the pipe wrench she had in her hand. Oh, hey! You're losing your temper too fast!
The button is completely destroyed, but the heavy shutter opens slowly upwards, gurgling, gurgling. Monica is looking smug, but how are you going to close it after this, this?
I looked inside the dimly lit interior and saw a huge knight standing there. It's about 10 meters tall. A western knight with a gray fuselage color. It's not flashy, but it looks like a reliable and rugged figure. The atmosphere of a heavy cavalryman is very powerful.

"This is the frame gear........!
This is an early frame gear and an older model, but it was supposed to be mass produced 5,000 years ago, if the war had gone on like that.

A mass production plane? It seems to be a very stable aircraft for sure. Perhaps it's a plane that has not been set up to be peaky, and has improved operability. And if it's not easy for anyone to move, there's no point in a mass production machine.

'Is there anything else on this one?'
There are several types of planes. There are several types of aircraft, such as land combat, assault, and high mobility. There are upper-class aircraft for these types, but they were never made. The blueprints must be in the storehouse.

A warehouse. I don't know if it's still intact. We can't expect to get anything done if we drop those plans on the ground, either.

Can we ride this thing?
Can we just get in? Well, it's not working.
"................ .................what?

Wait a minute. It's not working? What does that mean?

Why aren't you moving?
There's no fuel.

Oh my goodness, the simple answer! Fuel, fuel! You need fuel, this thing! For some reason, I thought it was powered by magic or something.

"What's this thing's fuel source? Gasoline?
Gasoline? What's that? It's fueled by ether liquid.
Aether Liquid?
The fuel is extracted by adding magic power to specially processed ether ore. The fuel is extracted by combining the magic of the passenger with his own magical power.

Ether ore. I've never heard of it. Maybe it's a special ore. This thing wouldn't work without that fuel. Oh, my God, we're in for a treat.

Do you know what kind of fuel it is?
I don't know. This isn't a magic field, you know.

Wow. I just got a big robot figurine after all.... Seeing my shoulders slumped in disappointment, she opens her mouth as if in a panic.

''Don't get downhearted, Master. There's a lot more to this place than just frame gear. There's a small flying boat and an automatic carriage for transporting frame gear.

A hauling carriage? I guess it's a car thing. I tried to build one once, but I gave up. It's a bit intriguing. Huh? But wait a minute, okay?

What's the fuel for that ride, by the way?
".........Aetheric Liquid.......

You can't! After all, it's not working! d*mn it, Dr. Erotic, why don't I fill up the tank?
When I asked Monica for more details, she said that over time, the etheric liquid loses its magical power and the effect wears off. From what I've heard, I guess it's like a carbonated drink. Does it feel like the carbonation is released once you open the lid? I heard it can last for many years, but 5000 years was too long.

"Can someone make an 'ether liquid'?
I'm sure the manager of the institute can make it, but I'm not very good at that guy.

Monica frowns and twists her head as she crosses her arms.
That pattern again......... This time we have to find the 'laboratory'........

'Yeah, but maybe Flora will know about it.
What?
It's because the Alchemy Building and the Laboratory are closely related. It seems that they have each other's interests at heart, and have exchanged necessary materials. My hangar and Rosetta's workshop are the same, but she doesn't come out of her workshop.

Indeed. Rosetta would be stuck in the "workshop" all the time if she started making something.
Anyway, I'll ask Flora. Maybe we'll get a breakthrough.
With that in mind, I opened the Gate to welcome everyone.

"Is this the Aether Liquid?

Flora looks at me with a nod of her head. The Alchemy Building is a facility that specializes in creating chemicals and entirely new materials. I thought it was possible to make something called ether liquid there.

''I think there's nothing we can't do.
Yes!
It's just that I think it will be degraded compared to what the lab's janitor would make. If you don't mind, though.

It doesn't matter if it degrades a little bit. If you can move your frame gear with this, that's nothing special. When I want to dance out of joy, Flora pours cold water on me.

"So, do you have any ether ore?

Huh? Ether ore? Everyone shook their heads as they looked at Else and the others.

'I've never heard of ether ore.
What is this rare ore, sir?

Hey, hey, here we go again.... I wonder why it doesn't go more smoothly....

After processing the Aether Liquid, the Aether Ore is treated with imprinting magic, then immersed in a special magic liquid and allowed to react magically to complete the process. If you have this amount of Aetheric Ore, you can carve the imprint.

Then Flora presents a handful of rugby balls about the size of a rugby ball. Is it like putting a tea bag in hot water to make tea? No, I don't know what an etheric ore is before that.

It's a transparent ore of various colors that has the ability to amplify, accumulate, and release magic power. 5000 years ago, it was reasonably available.

Sheska explains it to me, but I don't understand it well. Linse, who was listening to this, timidly raised her hand. Hm?

Isn't that... uh, isn't that a "magic stone"?

Demonstone? Oh, that pebble you used to test those attributes? They look like the jewels that adorn wizards' wands and such.
From a pouch on her hip, Lindsay rustlingly holds a number of small magic stones in her hand and shows them to us. Flora picks up one of the transparent and colorful magic stones, less than a centimeter in size, and holds it up to the sun.

'There's no doubt about it. This is the etheric ore.

Okay, so the name just changed over the course of 5000 years. So, problem solved! ...So why is everyone's face darker than everyone else involved in Babylon?

What's going on, guys?
No, because ... that's not a big magic stone, to be sure.
What?
''...Magic stones are quite valuable, you know. If it's this small or small, you can get them without any problem, but if it's that big...''

Indeed, the largest magic stone I've seen is the wind magic stone on the pendant that Renee had. The butler, Lime-san, said it was about the size of a walnut, and that one was worth quite a bit of money. Eh? Is it by any chance quite hard to find?

''There's a rather large water magic stone in the Belfast Royal Treasures Hall, but it's still about this big.

Yumina indicates the size of a softball with her hand. Is that the size of the royal family's possessions?

''By the way, how much is that........''
Well I don't think you can put a price on that.

It's no good. It's impossible to carve such an expensive thing. Moreover, when it is squeezed out, it means that it is disposable? It costs too much!
The dream is crushed. As I was making such a face, Yae spoke to me with a look as if she had thought of something.

''Fuyao-dono's search magic doesn't allow you to find a large magic stone, that it does?
What?

I don't know. Can you search for what's buried underground? Ah, but you did manage to find the ruins buried in the desert. Let's try it anyway.

"Search. Um, any magical stone bigger than 30 centimeters.

A few pins stotched down on the map of the western countries projected in the air. I was able to search for it. I'm surprised it's still around.
Oh, we have them in our country too. It's just one pin, but it's a big help. I don't feel comfortable digging up something buried in another country without permission, you know.
Okay, now it's time to unearth the magical stone! Let's do it!
