159 # 159 Protest statement and big attack.

Well, I thought they would come up with something.
Soon after that, we received a formal letter of protest from Euron. To summarize the lengthy letter, it said, "The land belongs to us and must be handed over to us immediately or we will lose the trust of the world. Otherwise, you will lose the trust of the world. Give us some of those giant soldiers (Frame Gear) as a reward for all the trouble they've caused us. They were originally created by our ancestors, so they have the right to be there. You must not act like a thief, you should be ashamed of yourself..." etc.

''How can you say so much?''
I know you're desperate for a justification.

He replies with a wry smile to Kosaka, who lets out a dumbfounded voice at the tower set up between the Great Wall.
The Great Wall that was built between Euron and Hannock also exists on the Hannock side. I have not set any traps here, though. Currently, the

Hannock, Breunhild, Breunhild, wall, and Euron.

But I'm planning to return it all to Hannock once the situation is settled. Of course, when I return the territory, I'll give the entire Great Wall to them. I made it on my own, and most of the expenses involved in building the wall are free, so I don't mind, but I'll be removing the traps.
Also, to be honest, it's not a good idea to keep our knights stationed almost half the time.

So what do you say in response?
'Force for force, friendship for friendship. I don't like to hold them down by force, but I'll buy a fight that's sold. That's the way I see it. I'd be happy to fight with Euron and myself, if that's what you want.
''........The fact that you could really do it is not funny. Your Majesty is a tyrant.

Well, I'll admit it's selfish. I didn't even intend to create a "country" in the first place. We just gave them a house with a big garden and said that anyone who wanted to live in it could. In fact, we barely even took any taxes or anything like that. Most of the money I pay to the knights and maids is also my pocket money.
Half of the money I get through Orba-san is steel for frame gear and the rest is in cash, but that's enough to cover the cost. So, to put it bluntly, our knightly order isn't exactly the national army. It's my private knightly order.
It's a good idea to have a good time with them.

I am aware of the fact that you are a tyrant. That's why I've been saying it for a while now. It would be better if you became the king of the country.
I don't think so. If you continue to follow His Majesty's lead, you might be able to conquer the world.
I don't intend to, though.
Even if you don't mean to, you often do.

I wonder. Well, if I use Babylon's power or Frame Gear, I might be able to take over the world or something. To be honest, it's a pain in the ass. And it's completely under armed control.
It would be great if Euron would just back off quietly.
A knock on the door with a bang echoes in the room. The door opened and Tsubaki-san came in.

''Your Majesty. We've captured Euron's agent.''
The masked one? How did you catch him? I mean, did you confess?
'Not as powerful as Your Majesty's Paralyze, but we too have a powerful paralyzing poison. And since Lord Flora has given us a very special confession,

What the hell is he giving me? If he used Babylon's technology to make it, there wouldn't be any weird side effects or anything, but it's kind of scary!
It seems that they paralyzed him before he blew himself up, took away his mask and used a confession agent. I'm too scared to ask what happened when he made her confess, but anyway, it seems certain that the masked operative was Euron's handiwork and infiltrated to get the frame gear here.

''Various operations seem to be going on at the same time in order to seize the Frame Gear. From the assassination of His Majesty to the abduction and confinement of His Majesty's wives, to the betrayal of the Knights, etc. All of them are ordered by Emperor Euron Tianji.
Looks like you got it right.

Kosaka-san murmured quietly. I was holding back a little bit because I didn't have any proof until now, but now that it's come to this, I'm not going to hold back. If we don't take a swing at him, it will just happen again.

This is a good time to get angry, right?
Well, yes. They've even tried to assassinate me. If it were a normal country, a war would definitely break out. But you don't want to start a war, do you?

Mr. Kosaka looks at me with a slight smile on his face. He seems to have gradually become able to read my thoughts. 'You invited this man to come to our country for the biggest harvest.

I do not want to start a war because it would hurt the people of the other country. We don't want to do that. And it's only a few people who are hostile to us.
So what do you suggest?
I'm going to do the same for the Celestial Emperor.

I'm not just going to return what they did to me. I'm trying to show that if they're trying to assassinate me, they can assassinate me. I'm not going to do it, though.

What are you talking about?
'I guess so. A sleeping celestial emperor wakes up in the morning with a knife sticking out of his pillow, or a very bitter liquid mixed into his food like a poison pill? Oh, or if anyone from the palace other than the Heavenly Emperor would just disappear out of nowhere...
How dare you come up with such harassment...
Kosaka-sama, I thought that was His Majesty's nature.

I think it's cute. This is "I can kill you any time I want, okay? It's nothing more than a threat to "kill me before I kill you," but you won't know it unless you do this. You should be thankful that you don't just say 'kill me before I kill you'.

"Well, that's a bit of a stretch, isn't it? Why don't you send them a letter of regret first? Implicitly implying that I know you're behind this.
What if I get assassinated while you're doing that?
I can't imagine that at all.

d*mn. Doesn't she think people are immortal or something? It seems that the physical body is slowly and gradually becoming closer to the gods.
Well, it's no use worrying about it.

Then send me a letter like that. I don't mind if it's a little harsher at this point, so........
Your Majesty!

Wow! Jesus Christ! The door suddenly opened and Paolo-san jumped into the room. He didn't scare me!

It's noisy. What's going on?
Oh, I'm sorry! Um, there's a lot of strange smoke rising on the Euron side. I think the Euron army must be attacking us!

What? We hurriedly stepped out onto the ramparts and looked towards the Euron side of the city, and sure enough, there was a number of smoke billowing up. They were scattered here and there, some far away and some in front of it.

''Is it some kind of wolf smoke?

How can there be wildfires all over the place like that? It's too far away for me to understand.

'That... what is that? I see a lot of shiny things...

 The glittery stuff? What's that?
I stared in the direction Paolo-san was pointing at.
By the time I noticed it approaching, I was already shouting.

'All aboard Frame Gear! Prepare for battle! Get ready for an attack!

I use my 'fly' to fly all the way to the source of the light reflection to make sure I'm not looking at the wrong thing.

''Ku........at this time.......!

Below us, a horde of flames, thrusting straight toward the city walls, was crammed in a heap.
They ranged in size from small to medium or something in between, and there were more than a dozen huge ones, some larger than frame gear. They ranged in shape from insectoid forms like ants, to bipedal ones like ostriches, to a series of centipede-like ones.
Their movement speed is not that fast. But there are too many of them. There are nearly a hundred of them.

"Target Lock! We've got Frazeez! Activate 'apports'!
Copy that. Activate Apports.

A softball-sized core appears in my hand. d*mn, it's no good. I can only attract so many that fit in the palm of my hand. It would take time to pull them in one by one! And this only attracts the smallest type of guy.

'Earth, entangle, earth curse, earth bound!

Frase's progressing legs are blocked by trees that have grown out of the ground. This would buy us some time. But then, in about two seconds, he easily slipped out of the way. How dare he cut off his own leg. The leg regenerates immediately and we start marching in as if nothing had happened. What a bunch of a**h*les.
From behind me, Rain's white knight "Shine Count," Nicola's black knight "Night Baron," and the heavy knights "Chevalier" and others came. Some of them seemed to have left some of them behind to defend the city walls.
I flew to the white knight "Shine Count" and instructed Mr. Lane.

''Take the lead on the large ones! I'm gonna slap the little one! He has the ability to regenerate, but he can be defeated by shattering the nucleus inside his body! Tell everyone else that in your correspondence!
I get it!

As I listened to the reply coming from the external speakers, I took out a large sword made from a piece of Frase from 'storage'. I held two crystal-like large swords with a blade length of two meters and a width of about 30 centimeters in my left and right hands.
If it wasn't for the 'Gravity' effect that was originally granted, it would be too heavy and wouldn't even be lifted.

''Let's go!''

He rammed into the swarm of flames close at hand. With a flash of his sword at the first one nucleus, he was able to sever the entire nucleus with a span, without much resistance. By pouring magic power into it, it possesses a terrifying slicing power.
As it was, he slashed down the flames one after another. Looking around while dodging the occasional extended blade arm, I saw a huge intermediate species clashing with the heavy knights, "Chevalier" and others.
The heavy knight attacked Fraise with the sword in his hand, using his shield to defend against Fraise's blade-arm, which sometimes bent like a whip and sometimes pierced like a spear.
Unfortunately, the frame gear that he had placed on the city wall was not armed with super-heavy weapons and was a bit tricky to use. They were being regenerated from the end of the shattering, so they had to take a number of hits in succession.
Among them, only Nicola-san's riding Black Knight was equipped with the War Contraption 《Halberd》, so he carried the battlefield quite advantageously and finally destroyed the nuke of the intermediate species he was fighting. Then he went to the heavy knight who was struggling beside him and joined him.
There are a little over ten intermediate species. This one has five heavy knights and one black and white knight each. Can you manage it?
The heavy knight's sword, joined by Nicola-san, shatters the nucleus of the flames in front of me. Is it natural if it's two and one? The heavy knight who defeated Frase joins the addition of another heavy knight as it is, and Nicola-san's black knight also goes to the other companions.
I see. Freys doesn't play coordinated play. For them, combat is an individual battle, and they don't follow up even when their friends are in trouble beside them. Do you think there's a chance for them to sneak up on you?
Anyway, they'll take care of the middle class, and I'll have to clean up the lower class, since they're nearly 90% of the lower class.
I'm going to crush every single one of the attacking flames. Fortunately? They seemed to recognize us as a target, and not a single one of them headed toward the city walls.
These mechanical aspects are also a weakness of the Frays. It could be said to be easy to lead them on, but on the contrary, threats like the one we made to Euron's army the other day won't work. They are the Terminators of carnage, who don't shrink back without fear or trepidation, and just hunt humans incessantly.
We can't afford to let our guard down either. Most of them use their arms as blades to attack, but some of them, like the Manta Fraze, shoot crystal arrows. I'm going to take the initiative in taking that guy down while using my "shield" to protect it.

''It's troublesome when there's so many of them here...''

It's hard to destroy them with Ice Lock or Gate when they're moving around so chaotically. Paralyze and Gravity won't work, and using Slip in this state would involve your allies.
Oh, I should have used "Gravity" to make the heavy knights' swords heavier! And that's not all you can do right now.
Anyway, I'm going to slash and slash and slash the enemy in front of me.

''With this.......last one!

Ten minutes later ... or maybe it was shorter, but there were no more small species that moved.
The ones of the intermediate class are also done with the one that Rain-san just cut down. It seems they managed to eradicate it. Since they might have failed to crush the nuke, they still remain on the spot, not letting their guard down. Another 10 minutes passed and there was no response, so it really seems to be a cease and desist.
There doesn't seem to be much damage here. Two of the swords were broken and one of the shields were shattered. The rest are full of fine scratches all over the aircraft. This is going to make Rosetta cry....

Your Majesty. What in the world is this demon?

The white knight's chest hatch opens up and Rain-san shows his face. Well, I didn't explain it to you. He lands on the white knight's shoulder, floating up with a 'fly'.

''These guys are the 'Flies.' They're the invaders from the other world who once destroyed the ancient kingdom. Originally, the Flame Gear was created to fight these guys.

I've heard it's not exactly like an invader. I guess it's better to call it an exterminator. They're trying to kill all the humans.
But I've never seen a horde like this before. I shudder to think that if I hadn't been given this land by King Hanoak, I would have been horrified.

''Was that smoke from earlier that these guys were attacking the village of Euron?
I think so that's not good. Everybody get out of here. That's a complete violation of my territory. I don't know what Euron is going to say to me.

At worst, they might say that it was Brunhild's army that attacked the village.
I wasn't sure if I should retrieve the large number of flames I defeated, but I decided to only retrieve half of them. If I erased them all, they would be more and more suspicious. As the real culprits who attacked the village, these guys need to be here.

''d*mn it, why do I have to be so careful about this?

It's a messy country, I thought, but when I unfolded the map to show the smoke rising, it synced up perfectly with the location of the village and town. I knew these guys were attacking us.
Unfortunately, there wouldn't be any survivors........ Frase can hear the human heartbeat. There's no point in hiding anywhere.
I wondered how many villages had been hit, and shrunk the map down from the periphery of this area to a scale that would allow me to see the entire Euron.

''Wait a minute... what the hell is this...''

Isn't this too much? Why is the smoke rising so far to the south? Smoke rising to the capital city of Shen Hai........no way.

Search. Show me the frays.
Copy that. ...will show you.

  Totototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototototot....

A pin of red light falls down all over Yulong with tremendous force.

''No way.........''

I let out a small voice as I stared at the map, stunned, and without saying a word to anyone.
