　Ende mumbles as he sips a cup of tea brewed by Lapis-san in a room at the castle. Beside her, Lise, the woman of the dominant species, with her hood off, was sitting there, chivvied and drinking tea like she had been drinking.
　I was the only one here. Not because I avoided everyone else, but because I wanted to check out the situation, just me first. It's just the way things are.

'But it's a long story if I tell you everything, okay?
So, let me ask you a question. The girl next to her, Lise, right? Is she the dominant breed?

　Ende admitted easily as he sipped his tea.

'I'm pretty sure the dominant species is a higher-ranking species of Freys, right?'
''That's right. There are lower, intermediate, and higher levels, and then there is the dominant species, and then there is the 'king'. The dominant species, as the name implies, follows the species under its control, has intelligence and emotions. ...Well, some of them don't show much emotion.

　Noticing my gaze towards Lise, Ende replies with a wry smile.


"It depends on what makes you an 'enemy', though. If Fuyuya and the others are trying to annihilate the King, then we'll be the 'enemy'.

　Ende stared straight at me with a slight swallowing light.

I'm sure I've said it before, but I'm a crossover. I've said it before, but I'm a crossover, a shiftwalker, a gentile, an etranger, you name it. I was born in a higher world than this one. Well, I only have the ability to travel to and from the world below it, so I'm not a jack-of-all-trades.

I've been to many different worlds, and I've come to one. It is the world of Freys and his friends, the Crystal World. That's where I met the King. 'King' is just a sort of name, although since it's 'she' I should probably call her 'Queen'.

　The "King" of the Frays was a woman....

'We talked about a lot of things. We talked about many things, for years and years. After a while, she wanted to live with me. I wanted to be with her as well. But we "Migrant" don't want to be bound to one world. That's the work of the Migrant, that's what makes us who we are. But "she" didn't give up. There are geniuses in every world...and she has made one. A way to cross over into the world.

　Apparently, just because it's a lower level world doesn't mean that the people in that world are inferior. It's true that science and technology have developed in our world, but that doesn't mean that the magic technology in this world is inferior to it. And there's no substitute for recovery magic to heal wounds in an instant.
　I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to get your hands on it.

As I recall, you put yourself in a 'nuclear' state, pass through the world's wards, absorb a little bit of power from the life forms living there, and climb back up to the world above...?

　Ende says with a slightly somber look on his face. Whether she knows it or not, Lise next to her likes Lou's homemade cookies or not, she's eating them, tasting them little by little. 　Lise next to me interrupts me, stopping to take a bite of the cookie.

　After saying that much, Lise began to take another bite of her cookie. I wonder if she knows him? It's hard to read his emotions because he doesn't show any expressions.

"And then I was attacked by a guy called Gila, the dominant species.
Gila? Yeah, he's typically ambitious. One who is trying to harness her power.

　I know that when I see it. And he seemed like an arrogant bastard who liked to riot.

'Back to the point, most of the dominant species were against 'her' crossing the world. The reasons were varied, though. Some cared about her, some wanted to keep her power intact, and some wanted her power. The King's power gives power to all of them. If the "King" disappeared, the Freys would lose their power. That's what I feared. But when the King is gone, someone else will be recognized by all of them, and that person will be the new King. Even if he's not as powerful as she is. And she left with me in hopes of that.
You sound like an elopement that your parents didn't want you to marry.

　When I said what I was thinking, Ende opened his mouth with a wry smile.

'It's a strange thing to say, but I won't deny it. It's not that I took him away, it's that we both wanted to. For a while after that we climbed steadily up the world. When she remained in her nuclear state, I traveled around that world, and as soon as she left for the next world, I shifted from one world to the next in the same way. Only in that short period of time when she is transferred from one life form to another, I can feel her. I was also transitioning along the way, but one day something unbelievable happened. The world we were in has been invaded by Fraise.
'Wait a minute, does that mean that Freys and the others have gained the power to cross the other world?

But the other Flames used her remaining corpus to chase after us.

　Somehow, in my head, I got a picture of Ende eloping with a mobster's daughter and being pursued by a group of minions released by the daughter's father.
　Of course, in this case, the storyline would be that if they caught her, Ende would be shot to death, if not her daughter.

In that world, Ende was never found because she jumped from one world to the next before 'she' was found, but that world was messed up. But she never found her because she jumped to the next world before she found 'her', but that world was messed up. That's when I met Lise and she told me what the rest of the Frays did. From then on it was a chase across the world.
'I know Ende has the ability to cross the world, but how does she ... how does she ... how does Lise cross it?

　If Ende had the ability to get others to cross the world, 'she', the 'king', wouldn't have had to go through the trouble of being in suspended animation.

It takes time for one or two people to cross the world together, but it's not impossible. But she, the king, didn't ask for transition, she asked for evolution. In order to live with me, she needed to cross the world one by one.

　I see. It's like being reborn from the existence of Frazeez into another existence. If you think of it that way, it's probably similar to me.
　But in my case, it's because God's hand has joined in. If the "king" of Freize is climbing up the spiral staircase, it's like taking an elevator to the top floor.

We've been climbing the worlds one by one, but they've been trying to time it in between dimensions. Some worlds have strong boundaries and some have weak boundaries. I've been attacked a few times when the King has been transferred to a world with weak boundaries, and I've been attacked by them. Of course, the people of those worlds aren't killed in vain, either. Some of them even fought off the Freys. Well, I helped, too. That's how I fought off and interfered with the Freys as they chased me, protecting "her" as I moved through the world. And then I ended up in this world thousands of years ago.

　The world collapsed 5000 years ago. I knew Ende had been in this world since then.

I'm sure you'll be able to find out. I'm sure that if all of the humans in this world are killed, they will eventually find the King. It's not a good idea to be alone. And Lise won't help me.
"I don't want to actively avenge my people. I just want to see where the King ends up.

　Ende cowers his shoulders. Apparently, Lise has no intention of joining the fight against Frase.

'Back then, the wards in this world were in tatters. Well, that's why most of the Frays came flooding in. Many of the dominant species were falling into the avalanche, and some resisting humans and subhumans were dying. As a last resort, once the Freys had obtained the nucleus of the King, I planned to intercept it, leap to another world, and go into hiding. But at some point, the world's wards were restored. I don't know why, but the world's wards were restored. But if the world's warding is restored, there's a way to do it. I've taken all the dominant and superior species that have appeared in our world and transferred them into the inter-dimensional space, just like Nei did the other day. 　After listening to Ende's long narrative, I was stunned. How can I say........the scale is too big. I can't even begin to imagine how many stars and stripes they have spent in the past few months moving through so many worlds.

''It's ironic that we should have kept the other worlds out of harm's way, but as a result we're pushing them into harm's way.
'Yes. I won't make excuses. If we hadn't come to this world, the world wouldn't have collapsed 5,000 years ago. We are selfishly sacrificing other worlds for our own selfishness. But we can't stop now. Neither she nor I can turn back now. For that reason, I will fight against all worlds, even if it means turning the whole world against me.

　Ende's eyes, looking straight at me, had a solid light of determination in them. You could call it open-mindedness, or you could call it irresponsibility. Self-centeredness is also self-centered, and seems to be thinking only of itself. However, this guy knows that and acts on it. It's not something to be admired, but I admire his willpower alone.

''Well, what do you do with this story, Fuyuya?''
I'm not going to be able to say that there's nothing we can do about it now. If the King's core falls into the hands of Fraise, the world will end anyway, but that doesn't make things any better, even if we do something about you. Of course, I don't want to get beaten up by the flames, either. I'm going to destroy every single one of the flames that appear, whether they are of the higher species or the dominant species. No matter what you guys say.

　I say that to the same dominant species in front of me. In response, Lise opened her mouth.

''I can't agree with you, but that can't be stopped. If we're both prepared to fight, I'll be a bystander.''

　You mean that Lise won't be able to touch us even if we get into an all-out war with the Frays and others?

''You don't have a problem with us destroying all of Fraise and her friends, do you?
We were at fault for attacking another world in the first place. It was the fate of the Flaze that would have destroyed it.

　By any chance, Lise is non-interference for when that happens.
