274 # 274 Guru, and the Central Temple.

Tomorrow is the promised two weeks since the meeting with the Dient representative.
As a matter of fact, I have a general idea of how things are going to turn out, since the Red Jade family members have been marking the messengers they sent to the vicinity of Dient and the other capitals.
It seems that the representative from the north has come up with a cautious argument, but they have settled on Central's policy of meeting with him in the temple and then deciding on the matter. It's not so much that they trust what I have to say, but rather that they want to hear what I have to say in person.
I guess it was a good thing that he didn't object to me. I'd have to talk to them first.
I've told the representatives of the countries of the East-West Alliance that we have contact with Parellius Island. The main trade targets are around Paloof, Elfrau, and Hannock, so it's not like it doesn't matter to the Alliance. In the meantime, we don't want to be a problem for Parelius Island, so we've put the groundwork in place.
In the first place, this trade is not such a good deal for our countries. It's just that this trade is not such a good deal for our country, and it's only going to add one more trade route. So it's not too much of a problem even if they refuse to trade with us. The materials of giant beasts are quite valuable, though.

''But the legacy of old Parelius, huh? That's a bit........no, I'm quite interested in it.''
Do you know this doctor?
Well. That was a pretty weird one. The futuristic artifact I found you with. It's based on old Parellius' theory, too.

To be treated like a freak by the doctor. Apparently he was quite an eccentric old man.

Fuyao-kun, could you take me to the Parellius Island? If you could show me that legacy, maybe I'll learn something.
'Ummm, fine, but don't do anything extra, okay? Are you sure? And even if it isn't, it's a delicate time.
I know, I know. I know, I know. I'll make the arrangements. You'll have to trust your mistress.
Who's the mistress?

We were having this conversation in the Hangar's garage when Monica called out to me from the top of the crane.

'Hey, Coller! Get out of here if you don't help us! You can't concentrate!
Oops, sorry. Let's check the drivetrain.
You're all done here. I haven't entered all the singing magic activations yet, so do the rest of that one for me.
Yes, sir.

The Dr. takes a different crane than the one Monica rides in and rides into the cockpit of the frame gear standing in the garage. The fuselage is a cherry blossom color, almost white. It's a Los Vise, a group warfare support frame gear dedicated to cherry blossoms.
Horns that look like the trumpet on a gramophone extend from its back to its left and right shoulders. At a glance, it looks like a cannon. Of course, that's not a cannon extending from the shoulders, but rather an equipment that amplifies Sakura's singing magic. It seems to be possible to attack with a loud volume apart from that, though. Of course, when it's not in use, it can be turned from the shoulder to the back side and transformed so that it doesn't get in the way.
After leaving the garage of Los Vise, I entered the garage across the street, where an emerald green fuselage was standing.
In the cockpit, you can see Rosetta's figure. Underneath the fuselage were mini-robots running around, helping Rosetta.
This is Roux's exclusive raid conversion frame gear, Valtraute.
Depending on the situation, it can be used with white knight battle equipment, long-range battle equipment, heavy weapons, and high mobility equipment. In other words, it can be said to be a machine that takes the best out of everyone else's specialized machines.
Of course, its performance is a bit lower than everyone else's specialized machines. Therefore, it does not have specialized strength. However, it has the strength to deal with any situation, so it has no weaknesses in warfare.
If negotiations go well, we can test these two aircraft as well as slay giant beasts. Well, for now, we'll talk to the other side tomorrow.

When we transitioned to the same place as two weeks ago, dozens of armored knights lined up like before, with Dient waiting at the front.
This one too, just like before, with a hundred frame gears in tow.

''Hello, Representative Dient. So, have you had a chance to talk to me?

I know what the reply is going to be, due to Red Ball's report, but I pretend to be unaware of it and start the conversation.

''For now, I would like you to meet with everyone, including Central-sama. It has been decided that I will give you a reply on that basis. I apologize for the inconvenience, but would you be willing to come to the central temple on the island?
The Central Temple. Okay, I see. Then let's head there with transference magic.
What?

All of the people who were there were transferred to the vicinity of the hill where the Central Temple was located at once. The four capitals of this island and the central temple could be moved by the 'gate' since they had already recovered their memories from the Red Jade's Military.

''Hey, this is...!
The Central Temple. In an instant...!

The knights of the southern city buzzed. You know that I can use transference magic after what happened the other day, but I guess they didn't expect to experience it. Dient also runs his messenger to the central temple, looking a little upset. The representatives of the other capitals seemed to have already gathered, and we easily made our way inside. Apparently, those inside the temple had already anticipated this development.
The half of the knights of the southern capital are returned to the southern capital with a "gate". They might suddenly disappear over there and be in a panic.
Leaving Rain and the others in Frame Gear, it's me, the Doctor, and Yae and Ember as guards (though only in form) to the temple.
A young woman, Dr. Doubleday, in a fat white coat, straddles the larger amber. For goodness sake, get one made to size, per Zanuck.
The structure in front of the building was a temple, but it was a circular five-story building, shaped like a tower. That's it, it looks like the Leaning Tower of Pisa straightened out. It seems to be lower than the Leaning Tower of Pisa, though.
Dient led us up the front stone staircase and into the temple, which looked like an old-fashioned stone castle. It's like an old castle.
Passing through the guarded knights, we climbed the spiral staircase to the second floor. When I opened the heavy, stately door in the second floor corridor, it was a rather spacious room. It was probably a conference room.
There were two men and two women at a round table placed in the center, and several knights who seemed to be guards were waiting around them.
The three, dressed in armor similar to Dient's, were an old man, a young man, and a young woman with short red hair.
Perhaps from their appearance, these three were the representatives of the remaining capital.
And the remaining one, the woman, was dressed in white robes and held a knotted wooden staff in her hand. She had slightly wavy chestnut-colored hair that reached to her waist, and blue eyes. She was in her mid-twenties at about her age. She looked older than the red-haired woman next to her, and she had a kind smile on her face.
After I entered the room, Yae and the amber carrying the doctor came in, and everyone was horrified, but when they realized it was my summoned beast, they regained their composure. Well, if a tiger suddenly appeared, they would be surprised.
A woman in a white robe stands up and holds out her hand to me.

"Greetings, Your Majesty, King Brunhild. My name is Central Parellius, a descendant of Arelius Parellius. I am the guru of this island.
Nice to meet you, Master Central. I'm Fuyao Mochizuki.

They greet each other briefly and shake hands. I guess that means this person is the representative of the island.
Next, the three men behind me were introduced.

The white-haired, bearded old man is the representative of the Eastern Capital, Morgan East.
The sharp-eyed, brown-haired young man was Sajitta North, the representative of the Northern Capital, and the red-haired woman was the representative of the West.
And the red-haired woman is Millie West, the representative of the West City.

And Deirdre South is the representative of the West City, Millie West, plus Deirdre South. It's amazing how they named the East, West, South, and North.
They might have been named after a title or something from 5,000 years ago.
We sit down at an empty round table, and I first explain what I told Dient again.
I unfolded the map in the air, and told him about the world situation, the Frays, and that the effects of the wards have created a fairly high frequency of giant beasts, and that there are ways to disarm them.

'As I told Representative Dient, if you refuse to talk about this, that's fine. As I told Representative Dient, if you refuse to do so, that's fine, because we would like to associate ourselves with the island, but it's not mandatory. Of course, if you do, we will stand down and cease all interference with the island.
Can I ask you a couple of questions?

The red-haired woman, Representative Millie of the Western City, raised her hand lightly. I go ahead and urge her to speak.

''If I refuse, can I assume that there will be no more interference from other countries?''
The island's wards are very strong. To be honest, without the help of Brunhild, the rest of the world will never get there. Therefore, we won't have to worry about that.
What are the chances of a foreign invasion of our territory if we were to break the boundaries?
''It will be difficult to attack this island without a very large fleet of ships, but.... Even if they attacked, they wouldn't be able to destroy the capital's boundaries, and a long-term invasion is impossible on this island with its many giant beasts. Well, I can't say absolutely...

With the warding off, there are fewer giant beasts, and if you use the guidance of insiders and others who have entered the city, you could be dropped from the capital.
But hey. To be honest, this island isn't worth that much. Because of the giant beasts, there isn't much farmland, and even when it comes to industry, the amount of production is extremely low. The only thing that exists is a vein of ore, but even so, I'm not sure it's enough to invade the island to get it.
The materials for the giant beasts are appealing, but to obtain them, a lot of sacrifices would be required.
First of all, there is no country that could attack here that has that large of a fleet or that much national strength to spare. If Euron still existed today, though, it would be dangerous.
The only other country that's left is the Demon King Country Xenoas. I mean, if Xenoas were to start an invasion, they would go to Euron first.
Then why would they seek diplomatic relations with such a worthless island? Don't get me wrong, but other countries aren't that adamant about it either. Like I said, I just think it would be nice to hang out with them, that's all. A different culture is a stimulus, and it might be a clue to the development of civilization.
But I think it's not a bad deal for the people of this island, who are limited to living in a limited area by giant beasts.

Is it true that if I undo the warding, His Majesty will slay the giant beast on the island?

Morgan, a representative of the eastern city, also asked me a question. I open my mouth, looking out of the window with the wooden shutters open instead of the glass window, at the Frame Gears.

'That framegear is an anti-Flaze weapon. The giant beasts are perfect for training and testing new types of aircraft. Of course, we'll need the materials for the giant beasts, but we'll give you a percentage of them. We'll be allowed to do what we want with it on your land.

Hmmm, Morgan was held in a chair and silenced in a subdued manner. This time it was Imam Central's turn to raise his hand.

'You said you were going to remove the wards on the island, but in what way? This island is covered by the wards that Alerius has placed on it. Its central tool is located underneath this temple, but it is surrounded by so many layers of wards that no one can touch it or destroy it, but...

I knew it. I thought it was something like that, so I took out the magic tool 《Artifact》 that resembled the syringe in the example from my pocket.

''This magic tool 《Artifact》 has the effect of counteracting the effects of the magic tool 《Artifact》. In other words, it strips away all magic grants. With this, the magic tool "Artifact" of the ward will lose all its power and will never return to its original state. It's a one-time disposable, though.

Everyone's attention was drawn to the small artifact, Initialize, which was placed on the table.
I quickly held it out to the central imam.

''It's for you. It's up to you guys whether you use it or not.

He wants me to erase the wards I've believed were protecting me from the enemies of the outside world. I know it's not something I can come to a conclusion about that easily. Maybe it's difficult to come to a conclusion right now.
The central imam is going to look at us firmly.

'If. Is it possible to leave the warding in place and have His Majesty transfer only those who wish to escape to the outside world? In that case, is there a country that would be willing to accept those who have left?

I see. I'm sure you're right. So you want to separate those who stay on the island from those who leave?

There's nothing we can't do. There may be countries that will accept you. But I would not recommend it. You won't be able to live the same way as here, and you'll have to start all over again from scratch.

You might not be attacked by a giant beast anymore, but it's going to be pretty tough to live naked, with no idea what to expect, and without a transmitter. Even more so if it's a family unit.

The only thing that's left to decide is whether to erase the wards or not, since we've already handed over that 'initialization' to you. To erase the warding or not to erase it. We want to respect the answer you give us as much as possible. Please think it over.
''Thank you very much. I'd like to have another thorough discussion with you.

The Central Imam takes the Initialize and bows his head.
For now, let's leave the rest to them. I'll cooperate with you if you release the warding, and if you say you're okay with the way things are, I won't interfere. It's fine if you want to lift the weld after a few decades. Well, in that case, I may not be able to help you.
Suddenly, the doctor tugs at the hem of my dress. Oops, yeah. That was it.

"May I ask you one question as well?
What is it? If you can answer to us.
The legacy of Arelius Parellius, the Wise Man of Time the Gate? Can we see it?
"Gate"? I don't mind. I'd like to thank you for the magic tool you gave me. It's not that I have anything in particular hidden.

Imam Central smiled at him, but upon hearing that, Sagitta, the representative of the Northern City, interrupted him.

''Central-sama. I don't think it's a good idea to let outsiders near the 'gate' that should be called Alelias-sama's legacy. If they were to destroy it...''
What is the use of destroying an unfinished object that was built for five thousand years and has no known purpose? Instead, I'm hoping that showing it to His Majesty will help us learn something about the Gate.

Sajitta held her tongue at Central's words. It's true that the doctor and I can use the magic of "Analyze" to analyze the structure. I'm not sure I would understand if I analyzed it, but the doctor might be able to figure out something.

This way, please. The gate is located on the top floor of the temple.

The Central Imam takes us up the spiral staircase to the top floor of the temple.
This is the gate that is supposed to lead us to the new heaven and earth. Does it have something to do with the restoration of the world's boundaries? Or is it...?
