400 # 400 Countermeasures, and the Golden Palace.

Two days after the mutant was eradicated, the leaders of the world gathered again in Brunhild to discuss what had happened and how to proceed. Once again, the leaders of the nations gathered in Brunhild to discuss what had happened and how to proceed.
As expected, the kings of the western continent readily accepted the current critical situation, perhaps due to the effect of showing the battle with their own eyes, even through the monitors. Perhaps they sensed that if the nations of the world did not cooperate, they would only follow the path of destruction.
I asked the seven countries of Primula, Triharan, Strain, Arendt, Galdio, Rase, and Panachez to lend some of their frame gear training machines and frame units to train within the Order. We hope you will join us in the next battle.
Well, I managed to take care of this one, though.

"A mutant of the Flame Gear type.... Well, that's not impossible. It's not unheard of to have similar weapons to compete with each other. That's why I told you to install a self-destruct mechanism.
No, I'm still not so sure about that.

People won't be able to get on board if you have that thing.
He replied to Dr. Babylon, who was drawing lines on the blueprints on the desk in the 'Institute'.

'The Yula? And that the dominant species was an engineer?
Hmm? Oh, according to Mel, he was also an engineer, biologist, politician...and a genius in that direction. Well, it seems that Mel's abilities through magic and other unusual abilities were higher than his.
I'm sure most of them are interested in my frame gear and want to improve it themselves and use it for their own convenience, but there are people who are interested in my frame gear. There are people out there who don't create anything themselves, they just use other people's technology.

Oh, that's a bit heartbreaking. It's true that I'm just making use of Earth's technology.

"And he's got the Golem technology as well, doesn't he?
Thinking of Isengard, maybe.
'Maybe it's the other way around. Maybe it's because he got the Golem technology that he's interested in frame gear.... Well, either way, this guy can't afford to lose to an engineer's pride. Fuyao-kun, I think we need to study up for the next development idea, what do you think?
'Well....'

The doctor snorted and pressed on, but I let out a disgusted voice. It sounds good when you say "study", but to sum it up, it means 'make me watch robot animation'.
I don't mind letting them watch it, but these guys make some crazy stuff.... No, I'm sure that's why we were able to save ourselves in many cases.
But if we're reluctant to take the plunge and lose big next time, it's useless. As soon as I agreed, though I was reluctant to do so, the doctor called Rosetta and her friends and had them gather in the garden.
In addition to the technical team like Rosetta, Monica, and Elka Engineer (Fenrir came along too), there's also Su, Sakura, Linse, Sheska, and some other kids who have nothing to do with it, but they're here. Even Paula and Amber and the others have come.

''We love 'Anime', so...''

I can't blame Lindsay for saying that. The problem is, though, what to make them watch.
I think about it while flicking through my phone, while Sheska prepares tea and snacks.
This.........is no good. If I make them watch the planet slayer, it's going to be a disaster. If I let them watch the annihilation end even though Sue is there, they'll be traumatized.
This........but it's more like a political anime than a robot anime. It's a bit difficult to follow.
Would you prefer something easier to understand? Ah, here we go. It's more of a robot animation, or rather a plastic model animation. It's peaceful, and yet it's fun. There are all sorts of robots (plastic models) in it, so I'm sure you'll be happy with them. I don't know if it's useful for development.
I projected the screen with [Mirage] in the air of the [Garden] and started to play the animation linked to my phone.

''Oh, you're watching Anime? No wonder.

I explain the situation to Yumina, who is wondering why Sakura, Sue, Linse and the others haven't shown up for the three o'clock snack.
They have gone to Sheska, so Renee comes to the table on the terrace and pours me a cup of tea.

''I 《I》 would have liked to see it too.

Lou mumbles to himself as he reaches for a cookie on the table. Lou is quite an anime fan too.
Lou was making these cookies in the kitchen a while ago, so he couldn't leave when the doctor contacted him.

'I'll stream it to everyone's phones later, so you can watch it when you're free.
Are you sure? Thank you!
It's really convenient. It's really convenient. It's really convenient, you know, to be able to share information quickly. Don't you think it's easy to find out what's going on in the country?

Leanne mumbles something like that while fiddling with her phone. I don't think it's going to go that far since there are still less than a hundred owners.
Well, there are a lot of state representatives among the owners, so we can get some information. Of course, they're probably only leaking information that they can pass on.

'In our world, information from all over the world, not just countries, was available to ordinary citizens. Not only that, but some of it was available to ordinary, even personal lives.
Don't tell me you're under constant surveillance?

Lou gives me a surprised look.

'Oh, no, no. He's a private person who releases information himself. For example, Lou would write, 'I had a cookie for dinner today. It was delicious.' You know, she'll write in one place, 'I had a cookie today. Then anyone with a smartphone can see it, even if they don't know it. Even if you don't know it.
It's not a problem if they know that much, but........ But it's a little scary that people who don't know about it will find out, too.
Yeah. That's why I don't write weird stuff. I write about things that I don't mind being known and things that I want people to know. Sometimes I write about things I don't care about.

Maybe I can make a social networking site if I want to, but I'm not ready to do that yet. But before that, the exchange of information is still in its infancy.
I think this is what I think.
"You're not thinking straight.
What a way to get started between countries. Even in the world I was in, it was happening between individuals on a daily basis.
It's better to start out with a one-sided information dissemination on a blog or something like that.... Ah.

"Lou. Would you like to try a cooking blog?
What is it? Cooking Blog?
'I'm going to put pictures of the food Lou makes and write down the ingredients and how to make it. He puts pictures of what he cooks and writes down the ingredients and how to make it, and then he shows it to everyone. I'll put pictures of the food Lou made and write down the ingredients and how to make it, and people will be able to make their own food based on those pictures. Thanks to Roux, we'll be able to eat a variety of dishes. The food made in Brunhild will be able to be made in faraway countries.

It's a similar world to begin with.
If it's not a very strange dish, it can be made. Even the rice is on the western continent, according to the Warlord of Rase.

''Sounds interesting. If we can introduce not only Brunhild, but also the local cuisines of other countries, we might be able to advance mutual understanding.''
Yes. For example, we can make the Karae cuisine of Mismid available to the world. It's a good way to get people interested in it.

Yumina and Leanne agree with me. I don't think it's a bad idea to get each other's attention from food culture.
Food culture can be difficult in many ways, though. Like when I ate ten-takra in the Kingdom of Igrette. Some cultures can be difficult to accept.
I didn't have any problems with the food I served to the kings when I invited them to Brunhild.
Well, if you don't want to eat the food, you don't have to look at the recipe. It's not like we're forcing you to eat the food.
I've flown all over the country myself, but I can't eat this stuff! I don't remember hitting a thing with.............
The meat ramekins they made you eat in Euron......... Orc shank meat...............................
There are some delicious monster-type meats like dragon meat and bloody club meat, though. It's a bit of a stretch for me. Orcs and human-shaped meat is a bad idea for me, but some people might like it.

That's true. Fuyao-sama, I, myself, would like to try it.
Okay, well, let's give it a try.

I borrowed my phone from Lou and took a picture of the cookies on the table.

I took a picture of the cookies on the table. Can you do that?
''Yes. It's just like the recipe Fuyu-sama showed you, isn't it? It's fine.

Huh? You think I should have looked up the recipe for Earth's cuisine and written it down? No, the names of the ingredients are different over here, and it's a bit crispy when it comes to cooking over here, so it's better to leave it to Lou.
It would be nice if we could make a special app or something that could send out various other information. Like a [Fireball] app that shoots out fireballs? Too much.
But I might be able to deliver at least a [Shield] or [Reflection] app for defense.
Well, let's try some things on this side too.

When we returned to the Research Institute, everyone was biting into the screen and absorbed in the animation. You're making your eyes worse.

As I suspected, we need to make a new type of flying unit as soon as possible. I think we're going to have to combine them independently.
Beamsword! Beamswords, sir! If we can amplify and converge the magic and give it edginess, we can somehow...
"No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We can miniaturize the Breunach so that it can transmit magic from Babylon.
'An output amplification system ... using Golem's G-cube as a medium, could temporarily push the output beyond its limits ...'

Look. Those tech guys are watching anime and talking about weird stuff. Why don't you guys enjoy the story more like Sue and her friends?
Well, I'm glad to hear it was well received. I was disappointed that Sakura kept singing the theme song afterwards, though.

          ◇ ◇ ◇ ◇

Eisenburg, the capital of Isengard, once known as the City of Engineers, has been on the decline.
Since the fall of the Mage King who ruled the country, no one has been able to unite the city, and people have been leaving the city day by day.
There were many reasons for the people to leave, but one of them was the eerie black cloud that covered Isenburg.
At some point in time, black clouds began to form over Isengard and black rain began to fall. This eerie phenomenon frightened the people and they abandoned the city.
The industrial city was becoming an abandoned city.
The scouting golems Bastet and Anubis, who had finally arrived at the abandoned city with such information, were at a loss for words when they saw how desolate the city was.

''Sister........ What in the world is going on here?
"I don't know.... It's just that this is an unusual situation...

People were falling all over the city. All of them were dead, and their faces had a look of anguish on them. Not a scratch on their bodies.
Suddenly, as if they had died on the spot, people were exposing their corpses at tables in coffee shops, on park benches, and in the middle of the stairs.
The strange thing was that none of them had decomposed. It looked as if they had died just an hour or so ago.
However, Bastet concludes that this cannot be true. Compared to the corpse, the clothes it is wearing are in too much pain. This is evidence of exposure to the elements.
In other words, the corpse itself is abnormal.

Is she sick or something?
'That's a possibility but it's still too early to draw any conclusions. Let's do some more research.

Bastet, the black cat, and Anubis, the black dog, head for the Eisen Tower, the tallest building in Eisenburg.
The royal castle used to be the tallest building, but it collapsed when the Mage King ran amok.
Climbing up to the Eisen Tower might give you some insight into the reason for this unusual situation.
The entrance door was closed and they couldn't get inside the tower, but it didn't matter to the two animals. As Bastet swung a claw made of crystal wood harder and sharper than an orichalcon, the thick door was easily slashed open and collapsed.
The door collapsed with a loud bang, but no one appeared. Apparently, there were no living people in the tower either.
The two animals climbed up the stairs made of rugged steel. From the outside, they saw that there should be an observation room at the top of the tower. The two animals continued to run up the stairs to get there.
Eventually they arrived at the observation room, which was entirely made of glass, and they approached the window and looked out at the city.
From there they can see the streets of Eisenburg, the black clouds that hang over the city, and...

"What is this?

At Anubis's murmur, Bastet turned his gaze in that direction as well.
The two animals' vision could see farther than a dog, a cat, or a hawk, let alone a human.
What the sophisticated camera captured was a golden mass that towered far south of Eisenburg.
It was made up of a number of empitude-like prongs that had grown into a clustered, crystalline state called a cluster.
To Bastet, it didn't look like a mere cluster crystal body, a cluster. Incredibly huge cluster crystals. Its somewhat regular appearance made it look like a palace.

''What do you want to do, sister? Do you want to sneak into that thing?
"I don't think that's a good idea. Take a good look around that thing. It's not going to be easy to infiltrate.
'What?

Anubis returned his gaze to the Golden Palace and took a closer look at the surrounding area and saw that the ground was moving in some way. So he increased the magnification and checked again to see that it was a figure of countless golden skeletons wandering around like sleepwalkers.

''As expected, it's difficult to sneak inside through those numbers. Besides, we don't have time. If we don't retreat soon, we'll be late for our appointment with His Majesty.
Oh, I see.
"Our mission is to bring back information. We don't want to get greedy and leave with nothing. That's enough of this intelligence work. We're going back to Brunhild.
"Hey.

They turned on their heels and started down the steps of the Eisen Tower.
