454 # 454 Elevator and escalator.

Although they have been separated, Yumina and her family members are also my family members. If I used my divine power to its fullest extent, I would know every detail of their whereabouts, but right now I only have a general sense of direction and distance.
If the girls were in danger, this feeling would spike, but seeing that it doesn't, it seems that none of them are in any kind of danger at the moment. No, we don't get into a crisis situation like this.

I thought it would be okay to leave for a little while. I'm sorry.
Well, well, it's my fault for taking my eye off the ball. Better yet, let's meet up with the others as soon as possible.

There's no danger here, but trouble can happen. For now, I left the store with Else. We held hands so we wouldn't get separated anymore, and one of her remaining hands was holding a paper bag containing the clothes she had just bought.

'Looks like she's not on the ground floor...'

When I used search magic on each level, I found out who was where. Even though it's big, if I say so, it's not much bigger than Brunhild's castle. If you look for it, you'll find it easily.
But you did an excellent job of splitting up the entire floor........ Yeah, it's a pain in the ass. Let's pick them up in order from the top. We're going to the basement grocery store last anyway. Let's go there last.
By the way, Yae and Lou are the ones in the grocery store, as far as the search results show. It was just as I expected, or so I thought.

I'm not sure if I'm right or not. Aren't we supposed to be riding in 'Esqueretaa'?
You're on the fifth floor, so take the elevator all the way down. This way.

I took Else's hand and walked past the escalator. I went to the front of the elevator, which was just ahead of it, and I pressed the '△' button.
The '△' button, which has begun to glow, is being watched with interest by Else. Soon, the elevator arrived at the first floor, the doors opened and two people with a father and son got out.
They go in and press the 'open' button.

'Come on in,'
'What? Oh, yeah.

He beckoned to Else, who had been following the father and son down with her eyes. A little freaked out, I made sure that Else got into the elevator before pressing the 'close' button.

'Shh, it's closed!
Don't worry. It'll be open soon. Hey.
What?

I press the button for the fifth floor and the elevator starts to move, and Else, with an anxious face, clings to me. Am I still surprised by this feeling?

'It's okay. It's just the box we're in that's being pulled upwards. We'll be on the fifth floor in no time.''
I know what you're thinking. I saw Eleveeta in a movie you made me watch. I'm just curious what that feels like.

Beside Else, who is showing a strange sense of urgency, my gaze is drawn to the hierarchical display of the elevator. I don't know why I look at it, right?
The fifth floor light comes on and the doors slowly open. Even though I know it's a different floor from the one before, Else is surprised and looks around with a scurry.
The one on the fifth floor was Sue. Looking at this display, it looks like she's in a shop at the back.
I've arrived at the so-called amusement corner with crane games, video games, and print sticker machines, etc., crammed in there by Else's hand.

What is this place? It's a bit of a noisy place...

While Else frowns, she looks for Sue. Like Else, that blonde hair stands out, so it should be easy to find her..........
Sue was peering at the pile of sweets inside a small semi-circular crane game, pressing her face against the acrylic board. What are you doing...?

"Soooo.
'Oh, Else in the winter night! I don't know why this "machine" doesn't work. It doesn't move at all when I push the button, like the others were doing. Does it hate me?

Soo mmmm, he pushes the button with a click, raising his eyebrows. No, you probably didn't put any money in that. I didn't give it to everyone....
It's the same as over there where you pay to buy things in a store or something, but you're not that familiar with the vending machine that you put coins in. The only thing I'm not familiar with is the capsule toy I made for Mr. Olba's place.
I took a hundred yen out of my wallet and put it into the crane game that Sue had been hemming in. Then I push the button and, of course, this time the arm moves properly and plunges its arm into the pile of candy.

''Oh! He moved!

With a giggle, the arm scooped up the rummage pastry. Most of them fell apart from the impact of the leap, but I managed to get only three of them.

'And, well, that's how you take them.
'And the strawberries! Winter night, strawberry too!

I'll give up the place to Sue. It looks like I can do three times for a hundred yen here, so I should be able to do two more.
As I watch Suu maneuver the crane excitedly, I get a tap on my shoulder from behind. When I turned around, I saw Else holding out her right hand with a smile.
After receiving the money, Else also worked on the crane game and rounded up when they both spent about five hundred yen. Or rather, I made her round up. I can't keep doing it.
I filled the plastic bag that was tied to the crane game's chassis with the chocolate, candy and rummage sweets I got and gave them to Sue. Su was beaming as she got the sweets. I think I could have bought better sweets for five hundred yen, but that's a flower if I don't tell you.
Now, the next step is the fourth floor.
The three of us took the escalator downstairs.
As soon as we got downstairs, we found a cherry blossom, looking at an idol group's music video "music video" on the storefront of the CD shop and humming the same song in a small way. There's a lot of people gathered around.
Sakura's appearance stands out because of the color of her hair. The sight of her singing the same song while watching her idol's music video is smiling, but there's also something a little unapproachable about it, I guess. None of them seem to be talking to each other.

'Sakura,'
"King. I love this song. I want it.

The nasal cherry blossoms are closing in on me. All right, all right, calm down.
I'm sure my grandpa had a CD player at his place, so I can listen to it if I buy it and go home. I can listen to it right away if I download it, but I'll pay for it. It might be a nice memory of the cherry blossoms.

'You must have liked it a lot,'
Yeah. I already know the lyrics. Shall we sing?
Oh, no. I'll have to listen to it when I get home.

If Sakura really sang to me in a place like this, there would definitely be an uproar. The doctor doesn't have a microphone, and since he doesn't have any magic elements to begin with, his singing magic wouldn't be activated, but even without that, Sakura's singing would still attract people. There's no way it wouldn't stand out.
I left the shop with Sakura, who got the CD I bought, and left the shop. There are two more people on the fourth floor, Linse and Leanne.
They both seem to be in the same place ... the bookstore. Looking at the map, it looks like a pretty big store with a variety of books. There's also a stationery store in part of it.

Winter's Night, there's Lean over there.
What?

Searching through the bookstore, Sue soon found Leanne. The place was in the "Mythology and Lore" section, and there were several books piled in front of her as she was browsing. They range from Greek mythology to Norse mythology to Indian and Japanese.
Leanne smiled at us without surprise and closed the book she was reading, probably aware that I was approaching due to the Military Effect.

'Darling, that was just fine. Can I buy this book?
No, well, I mean... Is it interesting to read the myths over here?
Yes. It's a lot of storytelling. It's interesting because in our world there are similar heroic tales, too.

Ah, I see. So that's what the people of the other world see.... I guess it's not necessarily the case that either of us is original, in this case.
According to the world gods, their world and mine are completely different while having similarities in some ways. There are many similarities in history, names, and laws. That's why the World God sent me to that world.
Well, I found Lean for now, but where is Linse?

He would have been looking for something to write about.

 A novel? I mean.......this way.
I proceed through the store, relying on the labels on the shelves that indicate the genre of the books. I cross the bookshelves, which are divided into genres: horror, history, mystery, science fiction, fantasy, but I can't see Linse. I can sense that she's nearby, though.

'I think Linse would be the romance novel or something. She said she'd like to read this one too.

I followed my twin sister's instructions and turned my steps in that direction, and I soon found Linse reading an engrossed book.

For some reason, the cover Linse was holding had a blushing, cute boy with a cool, bespectacled young man hugging him from behind.

'Hwaaaaah...!

Maybe it was because we were too engrossed, but Linse didn't seem to notice us. She's sniffing and flipping through the pages at an amazing rate. Ummm, I don't think it's a good idea to continue exposing this figure to the world....... After all, it's conspicuous.
As expected, I couldn't stand it and called out to him.

'.........do you want to buy that?
'What? Whoa! And, Winter Night! Oh, you guys!

Waddling around, Linse closes the book and hides it behind her. No, it's too late. I have a bookcase of that genre on my back.

I'll buy it and read it at home. I don't want you to bother the other customers standing around.
Oh, yeah, right, right! I will!
Do you have anything else you'd like to buy?
'Oh, yes. Let's see, this one, this one, and this one....oh, and this one. I thought this series would be a bit interesting too. And also.....

Many, many, many! Linse pulls a book off the shelf with a thud and puts it on the bottom shelf, on top of the new flat stack of books. No, it's not that I can't buy it, though!
We all split up and took our books and piled them on the checkout counter. The clerk's sister was a bit surprised, but we paid the bill without incident, put the books in our handbag and left the store.
I decided to go to the restroom first before I went up to the third floor. It's not that I'm squirming, it's to open [Storage] in a private room in the bathroom where no one can see me and store my heavy luggage.
When I entered the men's room, the man who was washing his hands was surprised to see me. Would I be a bit surprised if a kid carrying several large paper bags walked into the private room?
I go in, lock the door, and wait until the man leaves to store Else's clothes, Sue's snacks, the cherry blossom CD, and Leanne and Linse's books in the [storage] through the divine. That's good. Phew, it's lighter now.
Back in this world, once again, I realize how useful magic is. It's hard to keep it from being seen, though.
I'm going to meet up with everyone who was waiting for me outside. This time everyone is here. I made sure they wouldn't move.

Who's on the third floor?
'Well that's Hilda, isn't it? You're right down the street.

While answering Linse's questions, I looked at the information board next to the escalator. It was written on the fifth floor of the building: "↑Five Floor ■Amusement ■Cafe ■One Hundred Yen Shop ■Interior Design ■General Bedding" and "↓Third Floor ■Children's Clothing ■Sports Equipment ■Kimono ■Baby Products ■Toys".

As soon as I took the escalator down to the third floor, I found Hilda. Not far from the store's entrance, she was holding an item in her hand and making some kind of difficult face.

''Mmmm........''
What are you doing?
''Ah, Fuyao-sama. No, this knight in full body armor, but judging from the various dolls and imitation weapons that are sold like this, he must be quite famous over here?
'Yeah, well I guess it's kind of famous...'

But it's not full-body armor. It's a special effects suit.
While looking at the figure of the transforming hero that Hilda is holding, I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to explain it.
The toy section was filled with merchandise for that transforming hero. There were belts, swords, guns, and so on.

If you like it, would you like to buy it? It.
'Yes. If you're that famous, I'll have one as a memento.

Well, they'll be replaced by a new one next year, unfortunately.

Oh, they're selling something like Paula.
Oh, it's true. Darling, we'll buy one of those too. It would make a nice souvenir for Paula.

No, how about a stuffed bear with a stuffed bear as a souvenir.... Paula's wife? If you administer [the program], you might be like Paula........ Well, is that guy a male? It's a scalpel?

There's a row of little magical vehicles, the Aether Vehicles.
Huh.... That's a lot, sis.

The Elselinse sisters are surprised to see a miniature car, but it's only a small part of that series in there.

"My king. This is interesting. I want one.

I suddenly turned my gaze towards Sakura and saw her holding a magical girl's walking stick-like thing that emits sounds. No, you guys don't need to use that to do magic, but....
I'm sure if you stay here too long, you'll end up buying a lot of things. I've got to get out of here.
I brought a transforming hero doll, a stuffed bear and a magic walking stick to the cashier and quickly paid for them. I'm pretty sure the cashier must think I bought the toy for her. No, she didn't, did she?
Hilda was soon found and we decided to go downstairs to the next floor. Yumina should be on the second floor. Then it's just Yae and Lou in the basement.

''Uh ... this way?''

The second floor was mainly for women, including handbags, cosmetics and women's goods. Apparently, these floors make me feel out of place. Maybe I shouldn't worry about it, though, since I'm just a kid now.
Yumina was easily found in an accessories store not far from the escalator. She picked up a brooch that was in the shop and looked at it.

''Ah, Fuyao-san. ''Everyone else too.''

When Yumina noticed us, Leanne took a peek at her hand. There was a rabbit brooch holding a clock in her hand. Is the motif of "Alice in Wonderland"?

Oh, that's quite a nice brooch.
'Isn't she pretty? It's a pity that the construction is a bit rough, though.

Yumina, the shopkeeper can hear you, so please don't say too clearly that the construction is rough or anything.
Apparently, this wasn't a high-end accessory store, but rather a store that offered affordable prices. That's right, they don't have anything on the level that would meet the princess's expectations....

'Oh, this pendant is cute too, right?
I'd like to wear this hair clip.

It seems that Soo and Lindsay have also found what they want, taking advantage of Yumina. My daughters-in-law and their wives are rushing into the store with a squeal.
Oh, it's shopping time again. I wonder if they heard my voice telling them to hurry up since they are going to pick up Yae and Lou later.
It's not exactly a bonus, but I bought some accessories for Yae and Lou as well. Yae's hair clip is a hairpin-like hairpin, and Lou's is a bracelet decorated with light green glass beads. I hope people will like them.
I paid for everyone's share and left the shop. Now we can finally do the shopping for dinner, which is the main objective.
The escalator takes us all the way down to the basement. It's supposed to be a typical food store, but it's a little noisy for some reason. What is it? What's happened?
