お披露目会まではまだ日数があるということで、今日は王都の街を散策することにした。
　もちろん一人で行かせてもらえるはずもない。
　馬車に乗り、サラ、レイネと一緒だ。馬車の御者は執事のセバスがしてくれている。

「レイネ、カイン、どこか行きたいとこある？」

　サラが聞いてくる。

「教会へ行ってみたいです。王都に無事につきましたし、洗礼を受けてからまだ行ってませんので」

「そうね、カインは加護が多いだけにお礼をしておいたほうがいいわね」

「教会に行ったら、その後は洋服を買いにいきたい！」

　馬車が進んでいく。窓から見える王都の街並みは綺麗だ。王都の人口は二十万人と言われている。エスフォート王国全てで百万人位と言われているが、戸籍がそこまでしっかりとできていないこの世界では知る由もない。
　二十分ほどで教会に到着した。王都の教会はやはりグラシア領にある教会より大きい。
　馬車を止め教会に入る。
　入口にシスターにお布施を行い、祈る場所へ案内される。
　礼拝堂の正面には、七体の神体が飾られている。
　中心にいるのは創造神ゼノム様だ。正直似てない、実際に会ったなんてここでは言えないけど。
　膝をつき祈りを捧げる。
　そして光りが辺りを覆い尽くす。

　目が慣れてくると、以前洗礼の時にきた真っ白い世界だった。
　テーブルが正面にあり、相変わらず七人の神達が座っていた。

「ご無沙汰しております。王都に来たので、洗礼のお礼を兼ねて教会にお伺いしました。ここに来れるか心配でしたが良かったです」
　カインは頭を下げ挨拶をする。

「フォッフォッフォ。やっときたかカインよ。待ちかねたぞ。まぁお主が何をやっていたかは良く見ておったけどな」

　まってましたとばかりに技能神グリムが話始めた。

「そうそう。カインよ。こっちの世界に娯楽が少なくての。前世での娯楽の一つでもつくってくれんかの」

「娯楽っていっても、知恵を出すくらいしかできませんよ。自分で作ったことないですし」

　グリムもパナムも笑顔で頷く。

　そしてまた光りに包まれた。

　気が付くと、礼拝堂だった。
　七体の神像に頭を下げた。
　そしてシスターにお礼を言い教会を出た。

「カイン、礼拝終わったの？」

　サラが聞いてくる。

「うん。神様たちにお礼を言ってきました。沢山の加護をありがとうございますって」

「次は洋服を見に行きましょう！王都のお店見るの楽しみね」

　馬車で少し走り、商業街に向かう。


「到着いたしました」

　御者のセバスが声をかけてくれた。
　馬車から降り店に入る。平民の上級クラスあたりの店だった。貴族すぎた店でないのが好感が持てる。サラとレイネに連れられてフロアを登ると、そこは女性専用の売り場だった。

「えっ。ここって女性専用……」

　二人が選んでいる間、待っているのがとてもつらい。
　さすがに居心地が悪いので、一度店を出る。
　数件隣に雑貨の店があったのでそちらに向かう。
　店に入ろうとしたら、知っている顔があった。いや耳といったほうが正解だ。
　久しぶりに見る顔だ。

「おーい！　パルマ～！」

　お披露目会に来てくれていた猫耳娘のパルマだ。

「えっ。あっ。カイン様？　なんでこんなとこで」

　パルマは慌てた感じでアワアワしている。

　店の奥から声がする。

「おーい。パルマ。知り合いでも来たのか？」

　店の人が出てきた。パルマの父親のサビノスさんに似てるけどもうちょっと年上だ。

「おっ。パルマの知り合いかい？　可愛い坊ちゃんだな」

「伯父さん、カイン様貴族様だよっ！」
