A squadron of flying demons has been sent out from the town of Dexsi to intercept the attacking monsters.
　The squad, made up of demons with the ability to fly, used by Lasse, held a large bag on its legs.

Everyone!　I'm in the middle of the enemy!　Let's tear the bag!

　The leader of the flying squadron, the Harpy, gives the command, and the flying gryphons and hippogriffs fly side-by-side, tearing the bags tied to their hind legs with their claws.
　Then from the holes, silver glitter falls to the ground one after another.
　It was a piece of metal.
　The town's blacksmiths and carpenters had used the chunk of metal that was to be discarded as a weapon.
　It was made up of small pieces of old swords and axes, so it couldn't do that much damage even if thrown.
　However, a gravity-accelerated lump of metal from high altitude is an extremely fearsome weapon, causing many demons to scream from the ground.
A one-sided attack with no fear of being counterattacked, and yet it could easily reach deep into the enemy's ranks, a nightmare for the enemy.

　But this time the enemy was an unintelligent, hungry beast.
　There was no wisdom in retreating just because a part of the group had been hit hard.
　The corpses of the fallen monsters divided the enemy group.
　Then the demons following them stepped over the dead bodies of the dead monsters.

This time our attack will begin!

Then from behind the Harpies comes a new group of monsters.
It's the second squadron, led by Papillon, a giant butterfly demon.


As Papillon and the rest of the second squadron release more metal lumps, they attack the following demons that were trying to pass over the demons killed in the Harpy's attack.
Once again, the demons died, and more demons piled up on the same spot as the rest of the squad, dropping chunks of metal on the same spot.
Through the repetition of this process, a mountain of corpses was finally created that the following monsters couldn't get over.

One of Lasse's strategies was to delay the enemy's advance by dividing the enemy.
While the rearguard enemy delays, we will destroy the vanguard enemy and wait for the enemy to follow after we are ready.

We will destroy the enemy in the vanguard while we still have time! Shoot the third unit!

　The civilian volunteer force fires their bows en masse.
　While many of the bows are amateur bows and therefore do not fly properly, and many of the arrows pierce the ground, some of them reach the enemy lines.
　But there's no way that the amateurs' attacks will hit the ground. But there's no need to aim because the enemy is closing in on you, and there's no need to aim. Volunteers' attacks were hitting the enemy like crazy.
　But there were still too many of them and they kept getting closer and closer, even if you hit them.

　With a dull sound, the demons in the front row disappeared.
　And there was a black hole in the ground where they were.
　It was a pit.
　It was a round hole dug by Lasse's servant, the wandworm, and was built to surround the town.
　The pit was seven meters deep and three meters wide, and once you fell into it, it was not easy to climb. 　

"All right, close quarters forces!　Attack the monster that fell into the pit!

　Following the commander's orders, the troops with very long spears attacked the monsters that fell into the pit.
　The attacking troops are volunteers who have no combat experience.
　Letty assigned these volunteers, who are not expected to be an asset, to a unit that is designed to punish the demons.
　The demons that fall into the pit are unable to attack us, and they are in a narrow pit, unable to evade us satisfactorily. Therefore, the strategy was to drop them to a depth where they couldn't counterattack, and then unilaterally attack them from above with long, long, custom-made long spears to utilize the volunteers.

　And while they were attacking the demons approaching the town, the adventurers and the demons of Lasse with their battle experience were on the move.
