115 Dungeon Enhancement Plan: Starting

"Hmmm ...... traps like this?

There are traps that explode with gravel the moment you step on them, and traps where blades coated with fast-acting poison fly in all three hundred and sixty degrees in all directions the moment you set foot in the area.

Some traps you can find if you are a little careful, and others you can't find if you are not careful.
Also, they are enchanted and can only be found by using a very high level of detecting skills, and are the most deadly compared to the other two.
These three traps are placed side-by-side, with the first and second being dummies to hide the third, which has the highest murderous intent, in a triple fashion.

Other traps are plant-shaped, which usually mimic ordinary plants and only activate when a creature passes by, causing all nearby plants to turn into a pyramid to skewer the enemy, as well as flower-shaped traps that emit faint pheromones that don't even respond to your skills, disrupting your sense of direction.

In addition, there are various traps in the area. It's like a minefield.

These traps are placed inside the dungeon area from a certain line, with the outermost part of the dungeon area having the highest density of traps and becoming more sporadic as you get closer to our cave, gradually changing to traps that focus on concealment.

It's like they're going to hit you where you're not careful.

However, these traps are essentially unactivated.
They're very deadly, likely to kill people you don't have to kill, and most importantly, they're a bit expensive to re-install when they break. It's a waste of time to use such a trap on a small fry.

If an enemy enters the dungeon area, my map will react if it is a strong enemy, so I decided to check it before deciding whether or not to activate the trap.

This should be a good safety measure.

Now all that's left is a new pet: ...... Hmmm, I'm a little short on DP.

I still have some, but if I summon all the demons I have my eyes on, it's just not enough to summon all of them at once.

Then I can summon each one individually and have another one appear later when I have accumulated enough DP, but I want the next four to be summoned in sync.

If I summon two of them now, the rest of them might not be summoned until much later. Let's save up a bit more before we summon them all at once.

The gold and silver treasures that I stole from the thieves I killed a while back became a significant DP when I absorbed them into the dungeon, which was a happy miscalculation. ...... I may have spent a little too much on setting traps.
I'm always like this when I'm in a funk. I've got to be careful.

--Anyway. Since we're here, let's go try some traps.

...lil.

"Coo

If you call for Lil, who is quite far away on the map, you will hear her cry right next to your ear.

This is one of the features of the dungeon called "Distant Talk". It allows you to communicate only with subordinate demons, and I always use it to call Lil.

Hey, I need your help--

   * * *

"Lil'! There it is!

"Guru!

You've got an immediate reaction to my voice, and Lil' accelerates at a terrific speed for a moment, leaping past the point I designated before turning around.

What we see in our field of vision is a gigantic tortoise (・・・・・・), which is approaching and knocking down trees with a monstrous scream.

It's a turtle monster called the Grand Tortoise.

The attack itself isn't that strong, but it has a ridiculously hard body, and even if the flame of sin which boasts a tremendous cutting ability cannot penetrate the shell.
The only thing the blade can pass through is the neck and legs that extend from the carapace.
Moreover, when it feels threatened, it will retreat into its shell with such strength that it will never move until there is no outside threat left, so you'll need to send its head off with a single blow to defeat it.

Well, since it has two pairs of wings, its aerial control has become much easier, so it can swoop down from the sky and cut off its bare head, so it's not an enemy that I need to worry about now.
You can also bite down on their heads in an instant due to their speed.

However, its defense is very high, but it can be defeated quickly if you want to, which is why I fished one from its home for this experiment.

Incidentally, as it had just left its home, I stole a huge egg from there right in front of me. I don't know if you can eat it or not, but I'll give the egg to Leila later.

The angry-looking turtle guy came running toward us with a thud - over the trap I had set.

 A moment later, there's a small explosion.

At the same time, hundreds of blades are scattered from the ground into space, and several of them stab into your limbs.

At first, the tortoise man ignores the stabbing blades and tries to come toward us, but then he suddenly sprained his foot.

The turtle seemed unaware of what was happening, but it fell to the ground, raising a cloud of dust, and then stopped moving.

As far as your analysis skills are concerned, you still have some HP left, so you must have fallen into a coma.

Wow, this is amazing!

I had activated the primordial magic beforehand and prevented the flying blades with my water shield, and I let out a cry of satisfaction at the result.

This is the trap that eats the most DP. This huge body is not capable of spinning poison in such a short time. This should be effective enough against non-male humanoid types as well.
I heard there's some kind of recovery magic...but at least it should be possible to put them into a coma without using a potion.

I climb down from on top of Lil and cut off his head, turning the corpse into a DP, and then call out to him.

"Be careful, Lil, you be careful. The basic trap only triggers when the enemy comes, and you're a dungeon monster, so you know where the trap is, but when you step on an activated trap, it'll have an effect on you too.

When I said that, Lil shook his head as if to say, "I'll be careful," and he said, "Also, yes, Lil.

"And hey, Lil. I'm going to summon your junior, so I want you to take care of him when I do.

"Coo?

A questioning squeal comes back from Lil.

Oh. Train him to be our dungeon monster like no other. You're on it.

Coo.

I nodded with satisfaction at our pet's encouraging reply and patted its neck.

Good! Let's just go hunting for demons today. Lil's got a big separation, so I should level up, too.

"Coo?

I didn't tell you. I had a chance to fight a really strong guy in town. It's just not safe for me to be out there, so I've decided to retrain--
