116 a strong enemy

I dodge the attacks of the wagon-wagon sized mantis-like demons with two sharp scythes on each side and a hard looking shell, and defend against the unavoidable ones by parrying them with the flame of sin.

I learned the parry technique by watching and actually eating what the Orihalcon adventurers in the capital used to do.
It's still a poor technique, but somehow I've managed to handle this guy's scythe attack, which is very heavy and sharp, and a single hit would surely cause massive damage.

There was a lot I gained from that battle. I don't think I'd want to do that again.

When the attack was completely dealt with, I slashed at him as revenge, but the mantis man suddenly accelerated by flapping the wings on his back to avoid my attack.

 But it's not a problem.

This attack was designed to make the enemy take evasive action from the start.

RILLED!

It's a good idea to use the unique skill of "divine speed" to close the distance between you and the enemy in the blink of an eye and attack the mantis bastard with its own momentum.

"Giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

 A deafening scream.

Two of the mantis bastard's right sickles were sliced by Lil's sharp claws, and the body fluids of the praying mantis, the color of which you do not want to touch, were splattered all around.

I jumped into the bosom of the mantis, which was momentarily distracted by Lil, and swung the flame of sin at him.

The pollywoge catches the blade approaching him with its compound eye composed of countless small eyes and tries to intercept the attacker, me, with some kind of magic, even though I am a pollywoge - but unfortunately it doesn't work.

--I'm sorry, I can see all of your magic flow.

I've used it before in the city as well, invoking the "Dispel Magic" to nullify the mushrooms' magic, I aim at the thin joint of the crust just around the neck and swing the flame of sin.

The big mantis has no choice but to part its neck and torso with its body, crying its eyes out for a while as if it were a polly, and then it collapses and does not move.

...... good job, Lil.

After carrying a flame on my shoulders, I work on the DP conversion of the mantis carcass without securing it in the item box as an ingredient because I don't want to eat bugs.

While watching the carcass of the praying mantis become DP and melt into the void, I glanced at Lil, who was lying down next to me.

 Hmmm, and yet .

What can I say about ...... ease .

It's a good thing that you're able to have a good time with them.

The presence of Lil' is a big factor.

With the peace of mind that Lil is there, I can fight with less tension against a superior opponent, and more importantly, there are more options to choose from in battle.

Moreover, Lil seems to have a much better aptitude for battle than I do, so she can find the best solution and handle it on her own without any special instructions from us.

For example, when I messed up and failed to deal with an attack, Lil invoked her unique skill, "Manka no Chains," to cover me, so I haven't taken any decent damage.
If you decide that you can't finish the job with just your own blow, you can immediately switch to an attack that takes away the enemy's freedom of action, such as wrenching its limbs, rather than aiming for a vital point, and then connect it to my next blow.

Seriously, it's easy. This would have been much harder than the Orihalcon adventurer who fought in King's Landing.

This mantis is a demon that lives in the western area where the most dangerous ones in the magical forest appear.
Although she is much weaker than most of them, the demons in other areas would be no match for the current pair of me and Lil'.

I'm sure it's not enough to gain combat experience, but I'm not a professional fighter, so fighting alone without Lil is a bit of a burden for me. To tell the truth, I'm scared.

However, if we went into the area further west than the current place, the area is riddled with monsters and evil spirits and malevolent spirits that you can understand at a glance: .......

They are about as big as a seven-story apartment building, even though they can be seen from here.
It's not a good idea to have an all in one place.

...... Now I have a completely different idea, I wonder if the flame can incorporate other magic circuits like a sword extension into it.

It's not just a matter of how much time you have left. With that, I think we could cut off the head of that non-standard dinosaur. I don't know if the blade would pass through though.

...... No, if you add another magic circuit for the attack system, will it interfere with the magic circuit of the "Red Flame" and activate both at once when the magic is flowing?
I don't know, around there. I don't know, I've never tried it before.

Anyway, Leila and I will experiment with that when we get home.

--That's what I was thinking about.

The always-active search-and-seek skill is now showing a hostile reaction as it approaches us.

Grrrrrrrr..." ......

At the same time, Lil also seems to have sniffed out the enemy's presence, and raises his head in one direction, turning his head in one direction and letting out a low growl.

I'm also holding the flame of sin next to lil.

--Eventually, a beast, about the same size as Lil, emerged from the depths of the forest.

From its mouth peeped sturdy fangs that looked as if they could chew through rocks, and sharp, blade-like claws sprouted from the tips of its muscular limbs.

From its body sprouts eerie wings that look as if they were made up of hundreds of gray bones, and its two-timbered tail is as sharp and pointed as a scorpion's tail.

The creature catches sight of us with its snake-like corner of the eye - a ferocious grin, as if it's found a new toy.

 ...... Yikes.

Because I thought the enemy was weak or something, I got a strong one.
