79 Cats don't give up.

"Move fast!

There's a voice. A human voice. A voice hurling at us. An attitude that never acknowledged us as "people."

We were enjoying our daily lives in a beastman village. Life in the forest was fun for me. But... But those days ended suddenly. It was ended by the humans.

 The humans attacked our village.
Friends who defied them died. Killed.
I was still a child on the verge of adulthood among the cat-beasts and I had never seen anyone killed before my eyes. That's why I was shocked.

And the rest of us were captured.

Reduced to the status of slaves. They put a collar on me so I couldn't resist and now I'm forced to do manual labor. My mother, sisters, and other female beasts have been taken to another place.
I wonder where they are and what they are doing to me.

No one around me seems to expect me to escape from this environment. He mumbled to himself that he was going to spend the rest of his life as a slave.
We cat beastmen were not the only ones who were considered slaves. There were other beastmen as well, and even a few elves. We are divided up into small groups so that we don't have to act together to do anything wrong.

I haven't met that many cat beastmen from the same village since I came here. Every once in a while, I meet beastmen who have been reduced to slaves, and they all have eyes that seem to have no hope for the future. You can see that they have given up. When I see such resigned people, who are much older than me, it may be natural for me to think that everyone else will never get out of this situation.

But ......, I don't want this to end.
I don't want it to end like this either.
The possibility of escaping from this environment may be small, but if I give up, I think that possibility will be closed.

 I'll escape from slavery.
 And save the village.

...... said that the humans let them go, so maybe some of the inhabitants of the village did not fall into slavery. Maybe some of the people who escaped will try to come and save us. But I don't want them to.
I'm sure you want to escape, and I'm sure you'd like to help us if you could, but if you try to take us out with a few beasts, you'll just end up getting caught. If we are not in an environment where we can be rescued, I hope that we can escape and live instead of being slaves.

When I was in the village, I had never met a human being, so I didn't really feel it when I heard about them. But it is true that humans don't see us as human beings, as the adults around me said, and they prefer to keep us as slaves.
But I don't think that's the case with all humans. Because I've seen human slaves. I honestly don't understand the nerve of enslaving the same species, but it seems to me that there are many distinctions among humans. I wonder if this has something to do with the fact that humans are said to have more people and larger settlements than other species. I wonder if that has something to do with it, because the more people there are, the more conflicts there will be.

Anyway, what should I do to escape from this place? Think of a way to get out of this environment.

I guess the right way is to be liked by those who seem to be the most important among human beings --- the aristocrats who have a lot of money and so on. However, a person who has been a slave for a long time before me said that the country that made us slaves is infested with the idea that non-human species deserve to be enslaved. Even if you are freed from slavery, you can't help but become a slave again if you are found. However, if you continue to be favored by the nobles and make money, you might be able to help the others. Or, something could happen to free you from slavery and allow you to escape. The latter is impossible unless something happens to you.

But to be honest, it's hard to say if I'll ever be good enough to be liked by the big guy. But I'm not giving up. My mother and sister tell me that my only advantage is that I don't give up easily, so I won't give up.

In order to get out of this environment, I'll just show my obedience for now. When I see an opportunity, I'll keep my eyes open so I don't miss it. And at some point, we will break free from this slavery! I don't know how many of my friends I'll be able to save by then, but I don't want to give up.
I made such a decision alone in the place where I was living as a slave. There is no one around me who can share my thoughts. But even if I am alone, I will not give up.

---- The cat does not give up.
I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do it, but I'm going to do it. The cat will not give up, no matter how many people around him tell him it is impossible.
