144-Impossible future

Afterwards, Tsutomu heard from Garum that he would be finished mentoring and taking over the newcomers in a few months, so he decided that now would be a good time to bring in the clan members. And when he returned to the Clan House around noon, he consulted with the Clan members who were eating lunch.

'I heard that Garum and Amy will be joining us in a couple of months, so I'm thinking of bringing in an additional Attacker Tank Healer, one at a time.
It's okay.

Diniel returned the words simply, but the expressions of the other three men were hard. Until now, there were only five people in the group, so they were inevitably one army. But if three new clan members were brought in, naturally a second army would be created.

This is the first time that Daryl and Amira are competing for the first army, and they have a stern look on their faces as they know their own abilities. Hannah also doesn't have a fun look on her face because she's worn out from Aldoret Crow.

''For now, I'll definitely put a prayer warrior in the healer slot. After that, I'm thinking of a holy knight or dark knight for the tank slot, and for the attacker, I'm thinking of a black mage or a sorcerer.
'Huh? Healers are praying masters, aren't they? Aren't you a white mage?
Hmmm. Well, if you insist, you can put in a white mage, but is there anyone better than me? I think the only person I'd look at as a competitor at the moment is Lorena, who has a different way of standing.
Oh, really?

It's a very good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for. It's a good idea to be able to make an excuse because you were in a position to be an attacker in large numbers, but now you can't. Hannah's mouth was tied into a single word as if to brace herself.

It's just that from now on, new clan members will be recruited on the premise of a second army. We'll decide on the first army only after you two come in.
Yes, sir!
Yeah.
Yes!

The three of them responded spiritedly, and Diniel nodded a little late. Amira was inwardly annoyed at her appearance of being so spare, but as soon as she swallowed it, she finished her food and walked out. Daryl and Hannah finished eating hurriedly as well and rushed to put away the dishes, followed by them leaving.

Oli went to see the three of them off, leaving only Tsutomu and Diniel still eating in the living room.

''Looks like there's plenty of room,''
It's mutual.

Diniel continued to eat slowly, barely making a sound. Tsutomu drank the last of the soup and took the dishes and placed them in the kitchen, throwing a colorless magic stone into the water magic tool and soaking it with water.

''What if we fall out of the second army?''
"It's futile to talk about an impossible future.
Well yes.

But in fact, since Diniel was right, Tsutomu only had to say a few words in return. Perhaps the attacker who would be Diniel's opponent would be the one who would come in with new recruits, but the only attacker who could surpass her would be the one with unique skills.

''.........Perhaps even a unique skill holder could come in?''
'So what would Tsutomu do? When a healer with a unique skill comes in.
It's ... well, I'm not going to lose.
'Then my answer is the same. I'm not going to lose to a creature that hasn't lived a hundred years.

Diniel said as he finished his salad and brought the dishes over to him. Tsutomu smiled at Diniel's words and took the dishes and dipped them in water.

Then Diniel stared at Tsutomu's face with droopy eyes and opened his mouth as he remembered.

'But sometimes strength is not proportional to the number of years you live. An improbable future might be an overstatement.
'Heh. It's kind of unusual for Diniel to say that much. But I know. It's a unique skill, isn't it? I always wanted one.
Well I think I see now what Amy was talking about.

Diniel couldn't help but grimace at Tsutomu's obliviousness, but he-han? He just nodded his head. Diniel was annoyed at the situation for a long time.

Even Diniel, who lived for a hundred years and became a full-fledged elf, was stopped in his tracks by the threat of the tyrannical dragon that had destroyed the nobleman's barriers, and was unable to move in fear. Diniel still thinks that there is no way anyone can make a calm decision in that place.

But Tsutomu was different. Although he had only lived for twenty years or so, he hadn't been afraid to stand up to the vicious, rabid dragon. It was as if Diniel had entered this clan to observe him.

And yet, this attitude that he was inferior to the unique skillful person. Diniel didn't like this attitude.

''.........Te.....''
Ouch! Ouch! Huh? What?
I kicked it because it pissed me off.
'Yes..... Since when did you become Amira?
I don't know.

Diniel said this without making eye contact and went upstairs with his drink. Tsutomu was puzzled by Diniel, who suddenly kicked him, and prepared to go to the newspaper office with an uncomprehending look on his face.

 --Oooh--

While Tsutomu went to the newspaper office to prepare the clan member recruitment form, the three men who left the clan house were wearing spare equipment and leveling up in the dungeon. If possible, they wanted to level at the 71st level to get used to the snowfield hierarchy, but since they didn't have the countermeasure equipment yet, they went to the volcano hierarchy.

By forming a PT with a status card managed by the guild, the experience is divided evenly. The three of them form a PT and are dedicated to defeating the monsters in the volcanic hierarchy.

(They're both really into it.)

Daryl looked at Hannah and Amira, who were doing their best to defeat the monsters, and had a simple thought. Amira in particular doesn't like being the lowest level, but she really does her best with every move she makes.

Daryl, as usual, uses Combat Cry to take out the monster's hate and stand around to prevent the two of them from being targeted. I'm not used to the feeling of not having the usual VIT increase or the usual heels and medics flying in combat, but Daryl is still able to tank well enough.

The lack of healers means you have to drink a potion every time a battle ends, and the lack of flies means that Hannah has to fight on the ground, but for a three-man PT, she levels up efficiently. Once the battle is over, Hannah immediately runs to scout, while Amira and Daryl drink the potion.

Daryl uses the rewards he receives once a month to donate to the orphanage where he was raised and to eat good food. But even that is more than he can spend, so he buys his own potions to use for voluntary training.

Daryl isn't too keen on drinking the foul-smelling green potion, but Amira doesn't mind drinking it. Daryl is also ready to take a swig, and Hannah comes back when she finds the monster. Soon, Hannah takes the lead and goes along the path.

(.........what do I want to do?)

When Daryl was told by Tsutomu that Garum would be joining the clan in a couple of months. He was wrapped up in a hazy feeling that he didn't understand and was a bit confused.

Perhaps the previous Daryl would have been absolutely delighted the moment he heard about Garum joining. After that, Daryl would have gladly given up the first army even if his skills were superior to Garum's. And he could see a future where he would be satisfied with the second army.

But after experiencing the seventy level breakthrough, his thoughts had begun to change. From now on, when Garum and one of the other tanks came in, would I be willing to give up my first army? Thinking about that future made Daryl feel a little pained, as if his mind had been stabbed with a needle.

(I wish it was this PT all the time.)

Daryl is happy to be able to work with Amira and Daryl is happy to be able to work with Hannah, who is an avoidance tank. Tsutomu's support recovery is also awesome.

(Not sure about Diniel, though...)

Diniel, who occasionally tried to touch his ears and tail, was not good at it, but he was sure of his abilities. Daryl had confidence that if these four people were his friends, he would be able to capture more and more after the seventy-one levels, and even if he was shamefully unable to stand up at the seventy-first level, the four of them supported him without complaint. Daryl didn't want to be left behind by the others and wanted to live up to their expectations.

'Hey. What's up? Quickly.
Oh, yes.

Amira, who was watching the monsters from behind a rock, calls out to Daryl, who looks dazed. Daryl quickly took up the entire hate with his Combat Cry, and Hannah and Amira made their way to the monsters. Daryl also ran, the sound of his heavy armor scraping.

(More, we can be stronger. (With this PT.)

My friends are very dependable, but that's why I don't want to slow them down. I have to be strong. Daryl catches the golem's attack with his large shield and repels it.

(Even Garum-san I have to go over.... (For me to be here)

Daryl predicted the attack behind him with the sound of him stepping in and instantly reversed to catch the golem's fist.

'Shield bash!'

As it is, I use my skills to flick the three-meter tall golem away. To the neck of the golem that was blown away while lying on its back and fell to the ground, Amira's great sword falls and stops functioning and turns into particles.

(I don't know if I can do it... but I want to try!)

After that, Daryl maintained a good movement and stood around, which inspired Amira and Hannah to sharpen their movements as well. When the battle was over and Daryl was breathing on his shoulder, he was suddenly hit hard on the back.

''Ha. You're doing it.''
Oh, thank you.
Well, I'm not going to let you down!

Amira sniffed at Daryl, whose eyes were scurrying around in embarrassment, and took a gulp of the contents of her water bottle. Hanna sensed Daryl's change and involuntarily declared, "Let's do our best.

''Let's both do our best. Because I want to be in this PT too.''
...Yeah. I guess so.
I'll be laughing at you when you drop to the second level.
'Huh! That's my line!

After that, the three of them continued to level up, although they talked from time to time.
