4-The devil was an accessory

A relatively small but well-kept and clean room. Is it a reception room? So the explanation to us, which had been interrupted by movement and food, resumed.

''Well then, about this world we've talked about it a bit, so let's explain it with the story of the first hero-sama.

When Lilia said this, Lunamaria put what looked like a map on the table.
The shape of the continent, which gives the impression of enlarging a map of Europe, and the lower left - the area around Spain on the earth is marked with a black and white mark, and the area around the center of the continent, which is a little further away from that area, is surrounded by a red circle.

The red circle is the Kingdom of Symphonia, where we are currently located. To the north of it is the 'Archlesia Empire' and to the south across the sea is the 'Kingdom of Hydra'... These three are the main countries called the Great Powers, and 'until about a thousand years ago' they were all the world as we know it.
Does that mean it's different now?
'Yes, that's right Aoi-san. I'm sure you'll find a lot of people in the world map, mainly humans, elves and dwarves - collectively known as the 'human world', where many of the 'human race' live. In addition to this, the 'demon world' is inhabited by the 'demon race' and the 'divine world' is inhabited by the 'god race'.

With those words, two new maps are placed on the desk. One is more than twice the size of the map I was looking at now, a continent similar in shape to the Australian continent, a continent so vast you can tell it's too vast even just by looking at it on the map. The other was a map of a smaller continent in the shape of a circle, if you can call it donut-shaped.

The big map is the demon world and the small map is the divine world. It would be easier to understand if you can imagine a shape like a sandwich. Three worlds - the divine world, the human world, and the demonic world - are separated by invisible dimensional walls and exist side by side, and that's what this world, Trineia, is really all about.
Well it's getting to be quite an epic story, isn't it?
It's a little bit different from the other worlds like the place where the heroes live, where you can only interfere with the summoning magic circle. Hey.
Okay.

If the world changes, common sense changes. The wall of the dimension that seems alien to us is not so different from the sea and mountains to the people who actually live in this world.
Yes, I think we have no choice but to recognize that this is just the way it is.

I'm sure you'll be able to find a way to make the most out of your time in the world. Can you imagine what it is?
........hmmm. It's like there's a king and the nobles have their own fiefdoms?
Yes, that's exactly what I mean.

Yuzuki-san replies to Lilia-san's words with a bit of confidence. I imagined it like that too, but it looks like there's no mistake. But what I'm curious about is that Lilia-san just went out of her way to say 'about the state system of the human world', does that mean that the divine world and the demon world are different?
That's where Lilia-san suddenly moved her gaze to us, so I nodded once to tell her that I have the same perception as Yuzuki-san.

The first thing I'd like to explain is the divine world and the demon world.
The Creator God never appears in public except at the Festival of Heroes, which is held once every ten years, so it's unlikely that you'll ever meet him. It is said that God the Creator basically does not interfere with the world and watches over the future. According to tradition, He has never used His absolute power except in the great wars against the demon world, which are said to have occurred long ago.

 Lunamaria adds to Lilia-san's explanation.
If you put it that way, you could say that the God World is the ultimate vertical society.

'Next is the magical world. It's the most vast of the three worlds, and it's the world inhabited by the most diverse races. Although they are collectively referred to as the demon race, there are countless variations in their appearance. You are often equated with demons, but in the demon world, we define demons as beings with less than a certain amount of intelligence.

Hmmm, to be honest, I've always had the same image of demons and monsters, but does that mean that they have clear standards? It's hard to say until you see it in person, but...

''The demon world is an easy to understand meritocracy. The demon world is a meritocracy that is easy to understand. But just to make sure you don't misunderstand, it doesn't mean that the demons are violent just because of the meritocracy. Rather, most demons are rational and don't use violence for no reason, and don't look down on those with less power. It's just that this is a world that values individual strength, not bloodline.
Rather, they are much more gentle than the human race. The young lady and I have been to the Demon World a few times and she's been very kind to us.
Yes, I would love to have the time to visit again. The demon world is divided into six territories, with no separate countries. And the people who reign at the top are the six demon tribe members commonly known as the 'Six Kings'. The Dark Lord, the War King, the Death King, the World King, the Dragon King, and the Phantom King are demons that have lived for thousands of years, and their power is said to be capable of destroying the world.

There's one thing that bothered me about the explanation now though. Lilia-san and Lunamaria-san both said that the demon race is basically a mild existence, but didn't the human race fight the demon race in the past?

Um, can I ask you a question?
Yeah, go ahead.
''It was said that the demon race is mild, but a thousand years ago, that Sixth King? Is it correct to say that there was a demon king inside of a "demon king" and that he was attacking the human world?
''Hmmm. I don't know what to say.......I heard that the Demon King who was once so fierce was actually just a mere rag-tag in the Demon World.
"Huh?

In response to my question, Lilia-san replies with a bitter smile as if troubled. I'm not going to be able to get a good idea of what to expect, but the theory of the demon king's knick-knacks jumped out at me when I was relatively in line with what I had in mind up to this point.

As I mentioned earlier, the demon race people are basically mild-mannered. The demon world itself is vast and has plenty of food, etc. Furthermore, the six kings who are the pinnacle of the world are on good terms with each other, and exchange is very active. It's a very good idea to have a good idea of what you're looking for when you're looking for it.
Well, I'd say that there are people everywhere who are not interested in living in peace, but who have ambitions.

Lunamaria adds with a sigh, the Demon King's stock seems to be low, unlike the first brave man who is still respected even after a thousand years.

Yes, so he gathered the bloodthirsty demons and tried to overthrow the then Sixth King and become the top of the demon world. In the human world, they're like bandits...no, they're like a rebel army. However, since the overall number of the demon race is extremely large, the demon king's army seems to have grown to over one million as a result. Even so, from the point of view of the entire demon world, it was a small scale...''

The more denominators, the more sympathizers there are, the more sympathizers there are... To be honest, it's hard to imagine an army of one million, but that's how the Demon King seems to have appeared. Then why did the Demon King attack the human world instead of challenging the Sixth King?

Oh, we had a war in the demon world first.
...So what happened?

I guess the fact that they attacked the human world after that means they lost, but I'm starting to wonder about it, so Yuzuki-san and I are somewhat biting back and asking for the rest of the story.

I heard that he was beaten down by the Dark Lord in a few minutes.
"...uh...
It's just that, you know, it's kind of...
.... a result that makes me feel even pity for you.

The fact of the overwhelmingly disastrous defeat that even Kusunoki-san couldn't help but feel sorry for the Demon King. Is the Demon King's army weak or is the Dark Lord too strong? I mean, a few minutes of engagement time is almost all of them wiped out with one or two shots.....

''However, the Dark Lord is a very gentle man, and he didn't kill anyone, he just warned them, 'It's good that you're fine, but don't bother the people around you,' and then he released the Demon King's army.

He's gone easy on me and the treatment is on the level of the neighborhood bad boy............ Stop him already! The Demon King's stock is plummeting in my mind!

And after that one incident, the Demon King realized that he was no match for the Sixth King and invaded the human world, which the Sixth King had decreed at the time to be non-interventionist.
".........

He got away! Demon King, you've escaped from the demon world! I'm already attached to it, or rather, I'm a badass on a level of familiarity, but the Demon King! It's like a scolded child running away from home...
This is really ... how am I supposed to react to this?

Dear Mother and Father - I've heard that the demon race is rational and mild. And the Demon King - he was a small thing.
