703-Have a new party ⑤

Although I'm the landlord of the house, I wasn't involved in any of the preparations for the new building party, which is approaching tomorrow, and today I was scheduled to visit the royal castle of the Kingdom of Sinfonia. By the way, it seems that a pickup is coming for me, and I'm currently waiting at the entrance of my house for it.
The reason why I'm visiting the castle is because I received a letter from the king, Lasse, asking me to come to the castle before the new building party.

To summarize the contents of the letter I received........well, for some reason I'm not considered a Symphonia citizen even though I built my house in the Symphonia royal capital.
At a glance, it looks like I'm an outcast, but in reality, it's something even worse.
I've been told that my house is a special zone or an independent nation....something like that, the laws of the Symphonia Kingdom do not apply to it.
I'm not obligated to pay taxes, and it is forbidden to issue any kind of order from the state to me or the people living in my house, except in an emergency.
With the implication that other nobles would be made aware of this, a simple procedure, or rather.......a letter that would serve as proof of special treatment was to be handed over to them, so they were asked to come and receive it.

No, honestly, I don't know why we're talking about this, I want to say that I don't know.............................

Hey, Alice.
What's up?
This whole thing I just popped into my head, you know, did it have something to do with an earth god or something?
...or rather, I was the one who suggested it, but the reason for it is nine-tenths of the time it's that.
...right?

That's right. Thinking about it, I should have given consideration to that person beforehand. Mr. Reis...........and maybe Chris and Laguna too? I'm really sorry for giving you extra heartache just because I didn't think enough of it.
As I waited at the front door with such an apologetic feeling in my heart, I saw Lilia-san and the others, who are the head of the noble family and who also participate in the proceedings, come out of the mansion.

Since Lilia-san and I live next door to each other, I can see them, even though they are a bit distant from the size of the mansion. However, Lilia-san will only be participating as the head of the Duke Albert family, so we will be heading to the royal castle separately.
While I was watching Lilia-san and the others prepare the carriage, I saw a luxurious carriage stop in front of my house's gate.

Then a woman, about 150 cm tall, came down from the carriage's gohja stand. She had long, wavy golden semi-long hair, red eyes, and was dressed in white and silver armor, and on her back was a large sword that looked to be twice her height, though I don't know how she pulled it out.
I've never spoken to him, but I'm not sure if he was the one who was guarding Lasse-san at the Six Kings Festival or something. What is he, a knight of the Kingsguard?
The woman passed through the open gate, through the garden, and when she reached me, she put her hand on her chest and bade me lightly.

'I am sorry to have kept you waiting, sir. My name is Rachel, and I've been assigned to be your guide this time.
Oh, well, it's nice to meet you. I'm Kaito Miyama.
A gracious greeting. It hurts.

He has a somewhat peculiar way of speaking, but from his gestures and so forth, you can sense the elegance of the very upper class.
As I was thinking about this, Rachel, after returning to her posture, opened her mouth with a bitter smile.

''I'm sorry to hear that 'my husband' has caused you trouble in the past, Miyama-sama,''
'Your husband? Um........Mr. Lasse, is it?

The first thing that came to mind when I heard the word "husband" was Reise-san, who said he had many wives. At my words, Rachel shook her head, smiling again.

It's true that His Majesty the King is an attractive man, but unfortunately, it's not the kind of man I like. My own husband is a "stylish gypsy" who also communicates with Miyama-sama.
"...what? Are you a geek, or are you Mr. Zechs?
Yes, sir.

To my surprise, Rachel seems to be Zechs' wife. This may be rude, but to be honest, I was a bit surprised.
No, even though I understand that people of various races are in love with each other in this world, it is still difficult to imagine Zechs-san's love life as a rich person.

''Is it surprising? But not really, sir.

As Rachel-san said that, she took off a piece of the armor she was wearing and showed me her exposed arms. To my surprise, what was there was a doll-like spherical joint........

''I am a living doll, a demon race that belongs to the so-called death spirit system, so it is not so unusual for me to marry Zechs, who is also of the death spirit system.
Nah, I see...

Could it be that she is of a species similar to Zwei-san, the magic doll? Hmmm... As for the demon race, there are still new discoveries every time we meet them.
While I was having a light conversation with Rachel-san while being impressed by that, before I knew it, Lilia-san and Zeke-san were approaching us.
When they moved to the front of Rachel-san, they bowed their heads in a polite manner, and Lilia-san opened her mouth on behalf of them.

''It's been a long time, Rachel 'Knight Commander'
"Oh, well, well, well, it's Lilianne and Sieglinde, isn't it? It's been a long time since I've seen you........ You're Duke Lilia now, aren't you?
I'm glad to see you're as healthy as ever.
It's a strange way of saying that you, the living doll, are fine. It seems that both of you have grown a lot stronger than when you were with the Order. It's a good thing that you're not a match for Lilia-sama in particular...as a former boss, I'm proud of the growth you two have made.

Apparently, Rachel-san seems to be the leader of the Knights of the Symphonia Kingdom, and seems to be an old acquaintance of Lilia-san and Zeke-san, who used to belong to the Knights of the Kingdom.
From Rachel-san's smiling and happy smile as she spoke with the content that she could no longer compete with Lilia-san herself, it seemed that somehow.......her personality could be felt from her expression.
