76-Episode 70: Sage, Call for Helper

Multiple bootstrapping exercises have begun all over the school.

 Theories that were backed up.
 An understandable goal.
 A promised vision.

Once those are articulated, people can get up, even if they think it's impossible.
Best of all, we can all do it together.
Even if a goal seems difficult, if people around you do it, they will somehow get started.
 That's fine at first.

We'll have a good time, and before you know it, you'll have succeeded.
Then you will want to succeed even more.
 It becomes fun.

Before you know it, you've climbed to heights you thought were impossible.

That is the ideal form of a person becoming strong.

It's been four days since we started.
Already 5% of the students have successfully completed the double activation.
As time goes on, there will be many more.
The problem is that somewhere along the line there will be a dropout.
But then I was going to have to go back and address the problem again.

 I would teach them.
If I'm going to do this, I want everyone to achieve.

It's what we need to do if we're going to win this school outright.

"I'm surprised that Lacelle is going to be an instructor.

 It was Cecil," he said.
The rest of his friends nodded.

 After school.
We're heading to the school-owned dungeon to train.
That place was already looking like our garden.

'Well, isn't it obvious? Lacelle's strength is beyond that of a student. He's also a better teacher than the instructor. I'm going to support the principal's decision.

'Indeed..... --Hmm? Sarasa, what's going on?

The next thing I knew, Sarasa had stopped.
She is lying face down in the dimly lit forest on her way to the dungeon.
 Her expression was dark.
 Eventually, she muttered.

''You know what, Lacelle-kun?''

Hmm?

What about our party, then, since you're an instructor, Lasell?

'Oh! I see. If Lacelle is the instructor, that means there will be three of us!

I don't... I don't want to. I'd rather be with Lacelle-kun. We could have been a party...

Sarasa looks like she's about to cry.
 She has begun to sniffle.
Her normally pinched ears are drooping with no effort.

 I move closer to Sarasa.
I gently stroke her soft blonde hair.

'Don't worry, Sarasa,'

What?

'Sure, you're right. I'm going to be out of your party.

Well.....

But I made a deal. To the headmaster.

""Conditions?"

If you become an instructor, you must always assist a party somewhere.
If the class has to do activities outside of school, such as dungeons, you have to lead them.
Normally, instructors are decided at random, but this time I was allowed to make a special exception.

 In other words--.

"I'm your instructor.

What?

Lacelle?

Our instructor?

My friends uniformly peeled their eyes away.
I chuckle at the dumb faces.

'So I guess that means I'm with you guys when it comes to party activities.

 Huh.........

The three of them slump their shoulders.
 In particular, Sarasa looks relieved.
A blush shines on her face, which had turned blue.
Her ears, which had been pointing downward like a rotten flower, had also grown out in a pinch.

'What, isn't it the original sheath after all?

Do you disagree?

Yeah. But I'd rather have a more beautiful instructor-- ouch!

Come on, Rowan! It's not a good thing. I mean, it's the status quo. Good for you, Sarasa.

Yeah!

Finally, a smile returns to Sarasa's face.
 'Good face.

'Huh? But what about the Kowloon Cup? We're going to fight without Lacelle?

 Cecil popped the question again.
 I shake my head.

'Don't worry about that either. Because procedurally, I'm supposed to be a student.

In terms of treatment, you are supposed to be an instructor and your position is protected.
I don't get a salary, but it's supposed to be deducted from my tuition.
Still, I'm supposed to be a student on paper, apparently.
That's why I'm able to participate in the Kowloon Cup with great fanfare.

Then you don't have to worry.

'Don't be alarmed, Cecil. The Kowloon Cup is a team competition. Moreover, the field is large. There's only so much Lacelle can cover.

Rowan, the only one in the group with experience in the Kowloon Cup, chided his companions.

 Rowan is right.
I'm not letting my guard down.
Just because I'm a student doesn't mean I'm not licking my chops.

That's why I'm asking the entire school to learn how to do multiple activations.

'Nevertheless. The instructor is required by the school's regulations to put on a party of four or more people. In other words, they say that only a party of five or more, including the instructor, can attend the practical training.

'What? Does that mean we're incomplete as a party?

 Sarasa rolls her eyes.
Then I raised the corners of my mouth.

'Yeah.... So I've got a helper for you.

Help?

 Rowan tilted his head.
It was Cecil who stretched out his chest.

''Hmm.... As you know, we're getting pretty strong. I don't think a lot of those students would be able to help us, though.

Don't worry. I'm better than you guys in terms of strength.

What?

That's it!

 My friends panicked.

I turned around with another thin smile on my face.

'It's about time you came out,'

The one who appeared from behind the bushes was a girl.
 Wide open, dark green eyes.
 Thin lips like cherries.
Her blonde hair, which stretched to near her waist, shone like gold sand whenever she shook it.

Eventually, she stood in front of us and bowed her head.

'I'm Sheila Singh Stark. It's nice to meet you.

 Then he introduced himself.
