125-Episode 114: Sages Stand at the Top of Students!

The year and a half since the Kowloon Cup went by in a flash.
In the midst of being a second class student and working through a new curriculum, what began was a model match at the Triumphal Festival.
The fabled military school showdown would end in another complete victory.
And that's without me and Sheila.
Since the effects of the mess of the year before last, the level of the military academy has apparently been declining, albeit slowly.
Even the King of Amst was lamenting, and there was even a proposal to incorporate it into the adventurer's school.

Then the next year's Nine Dragons Cup.
Although Iolada, Canal, and Lyna from Chapter 1 graduated, Chapter 5 was marked from the start.
The siege of Chapter 5 unfolded from a party fight and we struggled.

But that's a fold for me.
As a result, 70 points were scored, more than last year's points, and we ended up winning it all for the second year in a row.

 And third class.
Of course, the chairman has graduated, and Meira and Podium, one year older, are gone.
Finally, the time has come for our generation to become the center of the Adventurer's School.

.........though it seems like it's been revolving around me from the beginning.

''Hmph........''

That's unusual. Your brother sighing. Is there something you're worried about?

On the way to school, Sheila asks with a cloudy face.

'It's okay.... It's just a little thing.

I said it was trivial, but it was a bit depressing.
I felt like I wanted to master all the time magic and fast-forward the time to graduation in one fell swoop.

 There's a reason I'm sighing.

I've been an instructor since primary school, and I've been involved in the running of the school, but I've recently been added to a new position.

 And that's--.

''Chairman, good morning!
'Good morning! Chairman!
'Good morning, Chairman Lacelle, good morning!

As the school neared, greetings flew in from people.
The word "Chairman" was added to it.

There is only one position in the Adventurer's School with the name "Chairman".

 So--.

I was the student government president.
Of course, I didn't run for it.
I was appointed by the unanimous vote of the entire school.

By the way, the vice president is Sheila.
Thanks to my sister, who is too good at her job, I rarely get to do anything.
At the most, I can only do a little more than stamp a decision document.

It's better that I don't have to deal with the bothering chores, but I can't seem to get used to being the "chairman" of the board.

"Yo! Chairman!

'Good morning, Chairman Lacelle!

 Looking back.
The duo of Rowan & Cecil were grinning and waving at me.
 I activate my magic.

 [Dragon Emperor.........

'Oh, oh, hey! Wait a minute!

"Hey, hey, hey! Don't try to unleash your advanced magic on your way to school in the morning in a casual manner.

Because you people are trying to promote me for president without my permission.

The two of them are responsible for all of this.
They schemed in the middle of nowhere, and with an unprecedentedly high number of votes, they voted to make me student government president.

'Are you still mad at me, Lacelle?'

You're a small man, but you're also a small vessel.

You're too big! You're getting taller again, dude.

 d*mn it!
How do you get to be that big?
I may have to seriously research a drug that will make me grow taller.
No, it's not about looking good, I just want to make up for the reach difference in fighting. It's not about looking good.

'By the way, what's up with Sarasa?'

He left the dorms first. I think it's the community council room. I still have some activity budget applications due today, so...

You are so serious, Sarasa.

'You're just too unserious. Don't forget that you're members of the homeowners' association, too, to begin with.

I made one condition for the Student Government President.
Cecil, Rowan, and Sarasa, who nominated me, must also join the Student Government Association.
They didn't like it at first, but eventually all three of them were encouraged by the students to join the student government.

 That's exactly what they deserved.

'Wow, I know,'

Of course.

Ho.......... Then why are you going to school at normal hours? Today, I believe, was the day for the appraisal of belongings, Cecil the scribe and Mr. Rowan the assistant.

 I narrow my eyes.

Cecil & Rowan's lazy sweat is pouring from their foreheads.
 My eyes are blank.
Then I began to run like a de-rabbit.

''Totally..... You're still the same, those two.''

I think we make a good team, though.

 Sheila giggled.

Well, if those two are left to their own devices, most of the troubles will stop.
It was only in the second semester of second class that we were established as a student government, but the number of troubles has decreased compared to the past.
This is proof that the Student Government Association is functioning as a deterrent.

Thanks to this, I don't go out to the field anymore.
As a result, I didn't have to do anything but go about my training and research.
It was all thanks to my friends.

Passing through the school gates, Sheila and I stopped by the student government meeting room.
As Cecil declared, Sarasa was staring at some papers.

''Good morning, Lacelle-kun.''

He greets me the same way.
It's a refreshing smile that I wish the two troublemakers would follow.

'Good morning, Sarasa.'

Good morning, Miss Salasa.

Good morning, Sheila. I need to talk to you about something.

I immediately started the meeting with Sheila, the vice president.
I put my stuff down and turn to leave the conference room first.
 Then Sarasa pulls me aside.

'Ah. Lacelle-kun, the head of the school wanted to see you. He told me to come right away.

Geez...

I make a blatantly disgusted face.
I only had a bad feeling about it.

'Well...'

'Brother, you're only going to get Sarasa-san in trouble if you look at me like that.

Oh. Sorry, Sarasa.

It's fine.

All right. I'll be off then.

With a quick wave, I left the conference room and headed for the headmaster's office.

Even though I'm in third class, my noisy days are the same.
It's probably because there's no change in my surroundings.
And here in the principal's office, there was nothing that had changed either.

 No, it has changed, but.....

I knock on the door of the school principal's office.
Then I hear a slightly intimidating voice say, "Come in".
I take one breath and then enter the room.

The air is filled with a thin, cold - almost murderous - feeling.

 I walk in.
The room has a large desk and a bookshelf with materials on it.
There is a side table with tea utensils on the side, and elegant ornaments are hanging here and there.
The interior is exactly the same as when I first arrived.

Then a swivel chair spun around.
In the past, it would have been a Rizzato man sitting in it.
But protruding from the chair was a man with silver hair like night dew and long ears.
It was a silver elf with enthralling good looks.

''Good morning, Chairman (sic),''

When I greeted him, the silver elf's elegant mouth fished up.
He rests both elbows on the desk and rests his shapely chin on his crossed fingertips.

'I'm no longer chairman, Chairman Lacelle,'

"..... I'm not used to this, Principal Vael.

 Yes.
I'm looking at you, Vael Dee Rivild.

He was the former student government president.

The position has changed, but the president's atmosphere and good looks are the same.
 And the position with me....

Even if you become a third class student, the scenery remains the same.

I cowered my shoulders in frustration.
