6-6 "Promise and fulfillment of request"

-- an extraordinary scene was spreading in that one room.

The person in charge of creating the anomaly, Wraith, remains unaware of it. He is just silently 'extracting' and 'purifying' as instructed by Daisy.

If Raffy saw this room, she would cover her face with her hands and be dismayed. It's true that Wraith didn't make or show the elixir without disobeying the advice.

However, something equally out of the ordinary is in progress.

''Extraction,'' ''purification,'' ''extraction,'' ''purification,''

Alchemy that is activated at a ridiculous speed. Moreover, the level of perfection is also perfect. Just looking at the speed alone, it would be more than fifty times faster than an ordinary alchemist.

''Fu........this is how it should be.

Wraith stopped the alchemy that was continuing to be activated and took a breath. In front of him was a large quantity of clear liquid in bottles.

Daisy had ordered as much as possible, so he continued to activate the alchemy at a speed that wouldn't compromise the quality. I didn't know the exact number I finished, but it wouldn't be bad for the pace.

I don't know how much longer I can do it since I haven't been told of any time limit, but I should be able to do an amount that will satisfy Daisy.

Let's accomplish our first request with aplomb and prove to Raffy that I can do it alone.

Wraith made a perfect plan in his brain (according to him) and grinned confidently.

Then, as he was about to get to work again.

'I don't know if you're feeling well, let's take a break...'

Daisy walked into the room as she said it, looking as tired as ever. She froze as soon as she walked into the room and her eyes were wide open.

'Hmm, is it over now?'

Wraith asked that, but got no response.

''This is.........''

Daisy wandered around the room with a wobbly gait.

'It's not what we brought in it's less herbs and it's really made...'

He mumbles, looking like he can't believe it.

''Ah, um........''

Wraith, who continues to be ignored in existence, calls out fearfully.

'Wraith!'
Yes!

Suddenly a loud voice came out and Wraith couldn't help but straighten up as he replied.

''You, what the hell did you do! How did you manage to get this much in such a short amount of time...
''No, no, I didn't do anything in particular I was just using normal alchemy...''
Normal? There's no way you can do it this fast in a normal way!

Raffy and Sylvia were unfamiliar with alchemy and were only vaguely surprised by Wraith's skills because they had never seen it before, but Daisy was different.

Having studied alchemy for as many years as the Wraith had, she could clearly see how far outside the bounds of common sense the Wraith was doing.

That's why it's not easy to believe her, and it makes her suspicious.

''Come on, tell me! How did you do it!
'No, it was really just a normal thing to do... oh, I'd better show you now.

Wraith saw Daisy's unwillingness to listen and gave up explaining verbally. He had no choice but to show Daisy the work he had been doing earlier.

''Extraction'' and ''Purification.''

The herbs instantly turned into a clear liquid and the impurities were removed.

Seeing the actual scene, Daisy's mouth, which had been doubting the Wraith, opened angrily.

''You, good, I, now...!
'Look, I'm not lying to you. I didn't do anything special. I just used normal alchemy.
Is this normal?

That's when Daisy's ability to think came to an end and she began to spin her eyes around in circles.

 And--.

Kyu...

With a bang, he fell to the floor.

 *****

Hmm.....
Whoa, you're awake.

The heavy eyelids lifted and Daisy slowly awoke. The familiar ceiling was reflected in her vision, and she felt an elastic, hard feeling on the back of her head.

''Hmm...?''

 Then Daisy wondered.

--why, she wondered, was Wraith's face so close to hers?

And then she assessed the situation.

 Now Daisy was being knee-buckled.

"Hey, hey, why are you knee-diving...!

With her face reddening, Daisy hurriedly got up and shouted to Wraith, who was awake and stunned.

It's not a good idea to walk around the store without permission, but I didn't think it would be a good idea to just leave it on the floor, so I decided to do a lap pillow.

If they say it was only a good intention, Daisy can't pursue it any further. She takes a couple of deep breaths to calm herself down.

Daisy's clearer thoughts reminded her of the moment just before she passed out.

'So you fainted from lack of sleep and the shock of the scene...I'm so pathetic.

Most of the fatigue is gone from Daisy's face now, and the dark circles under her eyes are gone. And in return, though, she had to pay for it by exposing her ugliness to a man she'd just met today.

'Haha I'll admit it's frustrating, Wraith, but I'll admit it about you. You're certainly the real deal. But if you're that good, why aren't you famous?
''I've only recently arrived in King's Landing. Before that, all I did was study alchemy in the countryside.
...I see.

Daisy pretended to ponder for a while, and then suddenly she had a big smile on her face, as if she had an idea for a good one.

'Hey, Lace, can you help me out once in a while, like you did today? Of course we'll pay you.
Hmm? Yeah, I don't mind this much.
Also, when I help out, I'd like you to teach me alchemy if you can.
Me?

Unfortunately, Wraith has no experience in teaching alchemy to others. However, it would be possible to at least teach them what I did today.

It's not every day, and it shouldn't be so burdensome.

''Oh, okay.''
It's all set. Okay, give me the requisition form.

Lace did as she was told and took the request form out of her pocket. Daisy signed it quickly and handed it back to Lace.

'Yes, your request is complete, thank you. Keep up the good work.

Daisy smiled wickedly and bowed lightly.

Thus, somehow, the promise to teach her alchemy was made, and Wraith's first request was completed.
