結局、会議では人手不足がより明らかになっただけで、大規模な探索隊どころではなくなってしまった.
　むしろノエミさんが減ってしまったため、結果はマイナスである.

　でも、せっかく見つけた土地を、手つかずで置いておくというのも本末転倒だしな.
　十階の当面の目標は土を均すのと、活動の拠点作り.
　あとは出来れば水源の確保だな.

　開拓班のリーダーは魔物使いのノエミさんで、部下は次やらかしたら後がない若者五人に決まった.
　道中の護衛も含めると、結構たいへんなのでいい鍛錬にはなるだろう. 　

　今さらだが十階というのは、意外と交通の便が悪いのだ.
　十一階以降なら直通階段で素早く行けるが、その手前の階は五階から延々と歩いていくしかない.

　主要な各階にはそれぞれ誰か居るので階層主を倒すのにそう苦労はないと思うが、片道だけでも二時間は取られるし正確な地図もないので迷ったらそれこそ行って帰るだけで終わってしまう羽目になる.
　おまけに道中で入手した素材なども、俺が居ないので一つ一つ持ち運ぶ必要があるしな.

　それと人事異動に合わせて、パウラとノエミさんは使役魔をそれぞれ入れ替えていた.
　火属性の赤スライムは戦闘面で相性がいいため、二匹とも探索班に貰い受ける.
　代わりに地面を耕す大ミミズ二匹を向こうへ.

　あとは伐採や運搬に便利な剣尾トンボを、現地で捕まえるとのことらしい.
　そうなるとノエミさんの使役魔は突撃鳥二羽に森カラス一羽、火吹鳥一羽に、トンボ一匹に大ミミズ二匹と、やや鳥や虫系に傾いた構成になってしまったな.
　逆にこっちはスライム四匹に蛙に河童と、よく分からない組み合わせである.

「それでは健闘を祈っておりますよ、ノエミ」
「はい、お嬢様」

　地下迷宮の入り口で分かれた俺たちは十五階を目指す.
　人数的にやや不安があるので、しばらくは無茶はせず河童たちとの交流が目的だ.

　メンバーは固定の俺とパウラに、偵察を受け持つティニヤ.
　後はおなじみのちびっこ従魔と使役魔たち.
　それとパウラの使役枠に空きができたので、久々にゴブっちと妖精のヨーも一緒である.
　二匹ともそれぞれ妖精探索網や弓士隊を率いて活躍中だったが、新たな妖精仲間が気になったらしく連れて行って欲しいと申し出があったのだ.
　妖精同士なら俺たちより警戒されにくいだろうし、こちらとしても大助かりである.

「キヒヒヒヒ！」
「ギャギャギャ！」
「クパパパパパ！」

　なんかよく分からない笑い声が響いてくるが、おおむね良好な関係を築いてくれたようだ.

　十一階は青スライムのスーとラーが、十二階は赤スライムのアカスとライムが各々頑張ってくれたおかげでさっくりと進む.
　驚いたことに石肌蛙の<擬態>や泥屍人の<潜伏>などは、妖精のヨーのほうが素早く見抜いていたりした.

「にゃあ、うちの出番がぁ」
「キヒヒッ！」
「あと、うちのお馬も取られたにゃ……」
「クパ？」

　小首をかしげる河童のカッちゃんだが、ティニヤが村で乗り回していたのを何度も目撃していたのだろう.
　石肌蛙をすっかり乗り物と認識してしまったようだ.
　当たり前のように蛙のカーにまたがって、のん気な顔をしている.

　そもそもカッちゃんには攻撃手段がほぼないため、見学だけなのも仕方ない.
　<雨乞い>は水を浴びせるだけの技だし、近くに水源がないと使うことさえできないのだ.

　From the thirteenth floor onward, Gobbler's archery was excellent, and Yoh had the boss fight to himself.

　Yoh and Tinya were able to see through all the vampire ivy lurking on the 14th floor, and the little demon fire became a snack for Yoh and Kuu.

　I'm glad that Paula smiles at me, but it also makes me feel like I need to work harder.
　At any rate, the three of us, Gobbler, and for some reason Yoru and Kuu also wanted to wear it, so I'll get it ready for them.

　Because of their short heads, the two frogs turned out to be surprisingly cute.
　We asked the stone-faced frog, who hated rain, to stay at the entrance, and Kacchan, the kappa, who was in a good mood because of the light rain, led the way to the river.

　It took us fifteen minutes to wade through the grass.
