Father, mother and brothers.
　How are you?

　I'm fine.
　I'm doing well in a distant world.

　However, I'm feeling "bad....

　I was reborn as a snake.
　I thought it was a nightmare, but it wasn't a dream.
　Lately, I've learned something.

　This isn't Earth.
　Maybe I'm a UMA that hasn't been discovered yet.
　There are no creatures like this on Earth.

　My current tribe is called the Lamia.
　I heard this from the Great Mother who seems to have given birth to me.
　It's amazing that I've gotten used to being surrounded by snakes these days, even though I'm surrounded by them 360 degrees.
　I'm glad I'm a reptilian, okay type of girl.

　And the best part is.

"Hey, hey, wasn't that frog back there tasty?
I like bugs better.
Worms can be disgusting.

　The sisters, who were complete snakes when they were born, are now pretty girls with cute upper bodies.
　The conversation is not pretty, at all, though.
　I'm not just a snake now, either.
　I've moulted several times, and I've got a human-like upper body.

'Come on, sisters. It's time for dinner.
　My sisters (snake women) bring the food for us youngest children.
　Mother doesn't work, basically, apparently.
　She's the mainstay of our family!
　My father doesn't seem to be there.
　Once I asked my sister if she didn't have a father, and she said with a scary look on her face, "You shouldn't say that in front of your mother.
　I wonder if there's a reason for that.

　Well, dinner.
　We are a few months old.
　We are eating a lot.
　The youngest of us was allowed to eat a meal first, but....

　We have a pile of mice, frogs, lizards, spiders, caterpillars, small birds, fish that look like crucian carp, and then there's a pile of things that look like nuts.

　The sisters flock to it.

(Can we eat around here...)

　For now, I choose nuts and eat them.
　However, this is not enough nutrition for me.
　Hesitantly, I looked around to see if there was anything else...

(Sigh, it's impossible.)

　The Lamia people don't seem to have the custom of using fire or seasoning, so they basically swallow the food.
　I took a bite of a small fish that was still edible, while my sisters ate mice and frogs at the side.

(Huh?　(The sisters are carrying something.)

　Something heavy is being carried in what looks like a burlap sack.
　Apparently, it's being carried to my mother.
　I've seen this before, valuable foodstuffs being carried to my mother.
　The other day there was a large cow-like animal being brought to her.

'It's called a minotaur!　The only person who can beat that is Big Sister!
　I remember my sisters bragging about it.
　I heard that my big sister is like our leader, second only to my mother.
　She is the second highest in our family.　

'Here you are, Grandma.
　The burlap sack is open.

(Geez!)

　What came out was a human being.
　A person wearing a metal, armor-like object is shouting something.
　The words are inaudible.

''It's very lively.''
　The Great Mother wrapped the human around her long body and gently stroked her hair.
　The human's face turned pale and trembling with fear.
　The Great Mother smiled with a grin and ate it in one bite the next moment.

(Ahhhhhh....)

　I got my head around it.
　Isn't this world full of nothing but demons?　I suspected that this was a world with humans.
　And apparently we are human predators.

'I wonder what humans taste like?' I hear it's better than demons... and I've heard you sisters have eaten it before... and I envy you... and I can't wait for us to go hunting.
　I can hear the innocent voices of my sisters.
　The conversation was horrible, though.

'Huh........can't live with a human.......'
　In fact, I was thinking that if there were humans in the world, I could sneak out of here and go to the human city.
　Because the food here isn't as good as it should be!
　But the frightened human I mentioned earlier.
　And I've swallowed the human whole, my mother.
　Coexistence would be doomed.

'You're not well, what's wrong?'
　I was sighing when my big sister caught me sighing.
''I, no. I just thought it was time for me to get out of the house too.
　I reply appropriately.
Hmm, I hear you're the first of the youngest to hatch. I guess it's about time you guys were able to catch your own food.
　Oh!　Can we get out of here?
　In fact, we have yet to go outside of this nest.
　The place of residence was a dimly lit cavernous place, large enough to accommodate us, but they wouldn't let us out because it was too dangerous outside.

'Tomorrow is your first outing,' she said. Tell the other sisters.
　Big Sis left after saying that.
　Oh?　Do I have to tell everyone?
　It's too much trouble.

　

Wow, wow.
It's so big out here.
　My sisters were squealing and saying.
　I was stunned.

Fluffy....
　Our abode seemed to be a cave behind a large waterfall.
　As we approached the exit, we heard a roaring, massive slap of water.
　The spray turned the area white and dim with mist.
　If we tried to get out of the cave as usual, we would be smashed into the waterfall basin, so we took a side walk to get out.

'Niagara Falls?'
　I've never seen the real thing, but the way the wall of water slithers across the surface reminded me of the three great waterfalls of the previous world.
　The huge waterfalls create a large lake.
　How could there be such a huge, underground lake underneath the ground!
　Great, great, great!

See!　Don't just stand there, get your ass over here.
　Your sister rushes you and makes you move before you can enjoy the spectacular view.
This is your hunting ground.
　My sister pointed me to an open area on the shore of a subterranean lake, just out of sight of the waterfall.

""Wow!"
　The sisters scattered at will.
'Don't go too far!　There are demons deep in the water, you know!
　I wondered if we weren't demons too, but I'd better shut up.

　I jumped across the rocks in a pitter-patter.
　I wondered if there were any fish, but the surface of the water was rippling with water from the waterfall, so I couldn't see much of the water.
　Suddenly, I looked up and saw a vast subterranean lake with vast waterfalls running everywhere around it.
　Further up, I could see the sunlight shining through.
　Apparently, the top of this was like a vault.

　As I gazed blankly at the sunshine for the first time in a long time, I saw a black shadow fluttering through it.
　Is it a bird?
　Its black shadow flew in a circle, forming a circle.　

'Hey!　You!　Come back!
　I heard my sister's impatient voice.
'It's a harpy!'
　Huh?
　And by the time I thought that, it was too late.

'Kiaaaaah.'
　It plunged in, making a strange noise.
　It was a woman on top and a bird monster on the bottom.

''What!　Eeeeeeeeeeee!
　The next thing I knew, I was being carried high up by the Harpy's legs, holding my body in their grasp.

'Quickly, all of you, back to your dwellings.　That boy is no better!
　Yes!　That's me!
　Wait, aren't you giving up too soon?　Sister!

'Baboons!'
　The woman-faced bird-body demon grabbing me is laughing, her beautiful face twisted in a nasty way.
　d*mn, you're licking me like I'm a child.

''Yeah!''
　I forcefully pry open the claws that are holding me.
　What the hell, this guy isn't strong at all!
'Ehhh!'
　I wrapped myself around the other man's body while the Harpy was surprised.
　As it was, I just barely tightened it up.

'Ha, Hanaseh!'
　Baka, you can't let go.
　They fell into the subterranean lake, tangled together.
　I plunged straight into the water.
　It was a little rough, but we made it to the surface.　

　Okay, let's get out of here.
　I slithered through the water to my home behind the waterfall.
"Gaaaaaah!
　I heard a scream from behind me, so I turned around and saw that the harpy from earlier had been eaten by a large crocodile-like demon.

(Yeah!　What is that?　Scary!　(There are people like that?)

　I was in a great hurry to join my sisters.
　When I got back, they all praised me for killing a harpy on my first hunt.

　No, because I wasn't happy at all!
　Oh, my God!　This world is~!
