いろいろとやることが多く、五日間があっという間に過ぎてしまった.
　だが皆が頑張ってくれたおかげで、様々な成果を得ることができた数日でもあった.

　大きめの変化があったのは八階だ.
　曲角羊から乳が採れると判明したので、乳羊として飼育すべくすでに十頭が連れて来られている.

　夢見草しか食べないのではという心配があったが、枝角鹿と並んで下草をもしゃもしゃ食（は）みだしたのであっさり杞憂となった.
　寝る場所も元が崖暮らしのせいか、小さな足場を幹につけただけで造作なく高い位置のウロまで登ってくれたりと、元からこの階に居たかのような馴染みっぷりである.
　ゴブリンや妖精たちも、ふかふかの枕や布団ができて大歓迎のようだ.

　ただし一番、喜んだのはヨルとクウたちだった.
　甘みがある羊乳が美味しかったらしく、見かけるたびにお腹にぶら下がってはチューチューと吸い始める始末である.
　さらに飲み終えた後も、二匹仲良く羊の首にまたがって乗り物扱いする気に入りっぷりだ.
　どうもくるっと手前に曲がった角が、ハンドルのように持ちやすいのがよかったらしい.

「いざまいるー！」
「くー！」

　もっとも掛け声は立派だが、<従属>はとっくに解除されている曲角羊たちに命令を聞く義理はない.
　一歩も動かず無言で草を食べ続ける羊の上ではしゃぐ獣っ子たちと、その周りを飛び跳ねる青スライムの姿はなかなかに可愛らしい眺めだったりする.

　乳搾りに関しては、手先が器用なゴブリンたちの独擅場だった.
　しかしミアも結構上手で、たまに競い合って絞り出しては、一気に飲み干して満足気に笑い合っている.

「ぷはー、やっぱ搾りたてサイコーだねー！」
「ゲヒヒヒヒ！」
「グフフフフ！」

　なかなかに好評な羊の乳だが、次なる課題は利用法だ.
　今はゴブリンや村人らが飲むだけで終わっているが、将来的にはバターやチーズ、ヨーグルトなどの加工品もぜひ作っていきたいところである.

　そのため現在、俺がいろいろと試作中である.
　バターに関しては錬成術の<混合>を使えば、フレッシュバターっぽいのは作るのことができた.
　フレッシュチーズも、<分解>や<凝固>を使えばなんとかなりそうである.

　しかし、本格的な発酵系が難題なのだ.
　最上級である魔導錬成の一つ、<腐爛>.
　これは対象を腐らせ発酵を短時間で促す錬成術であるが、その加減が非常に難しい.
　一度完成すればレシピを登録してしまえるのだが、そこにたどり着くにはまだ少しばかり時間が掛かりそうである.

　普通に酪農経験のある村人に作ってもらうというのも考えたが、この辺りで飼育されている家畜はもっぱら豚一択らしい.
　ちなみに豚の乳は量が少なすぎて、人が飲めるほど採れないのだとか.
　そんなわけで、酪農関係に詳しい人材が早急に求められているといったところだ.

　羊の次に活躍してくれたのがトンボである. 　
　足場が要らず、高いところでも余裕で届く.
　その腹の剣で、たいていの物なら切断してしまえる.
　と聞けば、役に立たないわけがない.

　これまでは生い茂った大樹のせいで太陽岩の光が遮られ、昼間でも薄暗かった八階.
　それが、なんということでしょう.
　木々の枝打ち作業が捗ったおかげで、見違えるほど明るくなったのだ.

　むろんキノコたちの育ち具合に影響がありそうなので、エタンさん監修の下での作業ではある.
　それでもあちこちに光が差し込むスポットが出来ただけでも、印象がガラリと変わるものだ.

　As a result of being attacked many times, we discovered the following.

　First of all, the insects had a provocative behavior.
　To put it simply, it is a trigger for them to attack us.

　The big-eyed moths that rule the tenth floor at dusk.
　Their provocation is light.
　A slight glow at the ground level is enough for them to react immediately and swarm us.

　Next, there is a large species of sword-tailed dragonfly that flies around the central lake on the tenth floor.
　They are easy to spot, as they invade the water, which is their territory.
　They will attack you just by approaching the surface of the lake, but they will not voluntarily leave their territory, so if you keep your distance from them, you will be safe.

　Finally, there are the army bees that guard the tenth floor.
　Investigating their provocative behavior was a rather painstaking task.
　After all, they were always chasing me in swarms.

　The provocative act that I found out was, to my surprise, the bean apple.
　Apparently, cutting down the trees and harvesting the fruit in large quantities was not good for them.

　As it turned out, there was a bee lurking dormant in every bean apple tree, and if something went wrong, it would wake up and send out an alarm.
　No wonder Paula, with her keen intuition, and Etan, an experienced hunter, missed them.

　As for the army bees, it seems that the hills themselves are their hive.
　There were holes here and there in the hills where people could enter, and we had already seen them coming and going from there.

　And perhaps the stairs to the eleventh floor are also inside the nest.
　What a troublesome story.

I didn't think we'd be exploring a dungeon in a dungeon.
"Sir, they're ready.
All right, let's get started.

　The sun is about to set.
　The tenth floor is about to begin.
